I WILL BRING THY SEED
Greetings dear children of our Heavenly Father and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. We are pursuing the Truths of this wonderful Bible Book with all of our hearts. This is not to be a casual information gathering time but a time when we make His thoughts ours, His Words ours, and His ways ours. I know you have been told over and over perhaps that His ways are not our ways and so on but dear ones that is not what the full counsel of Scripture tells us who worship God. We will cover this in great detail when we get to Isaiah chapter 55 but suffice to say now, He made us in His image, His likeness, and of the same kind (God class) to have His thoughts, His Words, and do things His way.
The featured picture today is of Donna and me at a conference here in Texas. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 43:4-7 (KJV)
4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Let’s continue today with verse five or our text which is more interesting than it appears on the surface. First let me share that the word ‘seed’ is masculine in gender and singular in number. So, it seems we are, the Scripture, talking about a single person. So, who is this person from the east? Short answer, Christ Jesus. The orientation of the Tabernacle built in the wilderness was east to west meaning that the door to the Tabernacle was in the east. When one entered the Tabernacle, they were facing west and going east to west. This is how the gospel came into all the world by the way. The gospel was taken west into Europe, the new world and then into Asia. Study the following picture provided by Rose Publishing.
The large red arrow is pointing at the gate, entrance to the Tabernacle. Once through the gate you are in the courtyard and immediately before you is the alter of sacrifice (Cross). Beyond that, further west, is the Laver where the priests washed their hands and feet before entering the Tent of Meeting. The water is the Word of God which makes us clean. Back to the gate.
John 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus is the door, the way! The only way to God, into the Tabernacle was through the door, same today. By the way the width of the gate was 20 cubits or 30 feet. Twenty is the number of Redemption and thirty the number of the Blood of Jesus. Isn’t the Word of God just so wonderful?
