I WILL TAKE AWESOME VENGEANCE
Greetings friends and partners and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. We are currently teaching four days a week from the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah. A Book that tells us much about the coming Messiah (at that time) and the consequences of rebellion against God. We see that God is longsuffering but He is also a God of justice. There are not different consequences for different people, our God is no respecter of persons, and He does not change. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. Those who share have a very important role in this Ministry and in furthering the Kingdom of God. A few weeks ago, as I was talking (praying) with the Lord and giving the following verse attention once again the Lord brought some things to my attention. We will look at it in two different translations of the Bible.
Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
When we reject the Truth for a lie we forfeit our position as priest, as intercessor. The primary Law of God, number one, is the Law of love (agape). This is extraordinarily serious business dear ones.
Hosea 4:6 (TLB)
6 My people are destroyed because they don’t know me, and it is all your fault, you priests, for you yourselves refuse to know me; therefore, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten my laws, I will ’forget’ to bless your children.
We see that destruction comes to an individual and a nation by rejecting knowledge, the Truth of God. You suppose any of that is going on today or in the day of Isaiah? If you have not yet obtained and read my latest book titled “Sacred Cows Among the Ekklesia” I strongly recommend you do so today. You may choose to hang on dearly to your sacred cow (false teaching one believes to be the Truth) just as we have seen in our Isaiah text. I recommend against that even though it is wildly popular. It is likely being declared from the pulpit with great reverence, vigor, and sincerity. Turn from the lie to the Truth.
This is what the Lord said to me: “Great error arises in ignorance; even greater error arises in the rejecting of Truth”. For example, can you describe what covenant love (agape) is, the God kind of love? Are you and those around you still using the worlds emotional, warm and fuzzy, definition of the word love? There is no, zero, emotion in Godly love (agape/agapeo), it is obedience to the Word, it is an attitude and lifestyle of selflessness, and it is walking in the Blood Covenant. Now let’s read our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 29:13-16 (TLB)
13 And so the Lord says, “Since these people say they are mine but they do not obey me, and since their worship amounts to mere words learned by rote,
14 therefore I will take awesome vengeance on these hypocrites and make their wisest counselors as fools.”
15 Woe to those who try to hide their plans from God, who try to keep him in the dark concerning what they do! “God can’t see us,” they say to themselves. “He doesn’t know what is going on!”
16 How stupid can they be! Isn’t he, the Potter, greater than you, the jars he makes? Will you say to him, “He didn’t make us”? Does a machine call its inventor dumb?
The Lord is using some rather plain language here yet if you or I were to use similar or the same language we would be accused of not walking in love. Would that be true? The word ‘vengeance’ found in verse fourteen has to do with justice not revenge. Notice God is calling His people hypocrites (phonies, play actors) and their “wisest counselors” fools, this would be the preachers, the ministry leaders. Then we come to verse fifteen which leaves no question as to why God labeled them as stupid. How stupid can one be to think God does not see everything, everything dear ones. Trying to hide something is the equivalent of lying, it is subterfuge, God hates lying, it is an anathema to Him, an abomination. Then He says ‘woe’ is what happens to liars, those who hide from God or think they are hiding from God, those who heap the curse upon themselves. Woe means anguish, grief, distress, sadness, misery and more. The antonym is happiness or joy.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
