AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THESE PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE MINE
Greetings friends and partners and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. We are currently teaching four days a week from the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah. A Book that tells us much about the coming Messiah (at that time) and the consequences of rebellion against God. We see that God is longsuffering but He is also a God of justice. There are not different consequences for different people, our God is no respecter of persons, and He does not change. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. Those who share have a very important role in this Ministry and in furthering the Kingdom of God. The featured picture today is another beautiful fall scene. Fall is such a wonderful and colorful time in Maine however the main problem it if you live there, is that it comes right before winter. If there is one thing, I know with certainty, I really dislike, more like abhor, the cold. There I said it!
A few weeks ago, as I was talking (praying) with the Lord and giving the following verse attention once again the Lord brought some things to my attention. We will look at it in three different translations of the Bible.
Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:6 (AMP)
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
Hosea 4:6 (TLB)
6 My people are destroyed because they don’t know me, and it is all your fault, you priests, for you yourselves refuse to know me; therefore, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten my laws, I will ’forget’ to bless your children.
We see that destruction comes to an individual and a nation by rejecting knowledge, the Truth of God. You suppose any of that is going on today or in the day of Isaiah? If you have not yet obtained and read my latest book titled “Sacred Cows Among the Ekklesia” I strongly recommend you do so today. You may choose to hang on dearly to your sacred cow (false teaching one believes to be the Truth) just as in our Isaiah text we have been studying. I recommend against that even though it is wildly popular. It is likely being declared from the pulpit with great reverence, vigor, and sincerity. Turn from the lie to the Truth. This is what the Lord said to me: “Great error arises in ignorance; even greater error arises in the rejecting of Truth”. For example, can you describe what covenant love (agape) is, the God kind of love? Are you and those around you still using the worlds emotional, warm and fuzzy, definition of the word love? There is no, zero, emotion in Godly love (agape/agapeo), it is obedience to the Word, it is an attitude and lifestyle of selflessness, and it is walking in the Blood Covenant. Now let’s read our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 29:13-16 (TLB)
13 And so the Lord says, “Since these people say they are mine but they do not obey me, and since their worship amounts to mere words learned by rote,
14 therefore I will take awesome vengeance on these hypocrites and make their wisest counselors as fools.”
15 Woe to those who try to hide their plans from God, who try to keep him in the dark concerning what they do! “God can’t see us,” they say to themselves. “He doesn’t know what is going on!”
16 How stupid can they be! Isn’t he, the Potter, greater than you, the jars he makes? Will you say to him, “He didn’t make us”? Does a machine call its inventor dumb?
The Lord says “these people say they are mine but they do not obey me”. Wow, would that describe the Church, the body of Christ today at large? What is the fruit of the Church today? You have your answer. The Lord goes on to say “their worship amounts to mere words learned by rote”. Are we, the Church, doing this, service after service expecting something different? What was different in any service you attended as far back as you can remember? Nothing! Just a slight variation on a fruitless theme. You may be thinking, “boy he is hard on the Church”. The Lord is speaking to us through me and from His Holy Book. I was about to write that I was sorry but the Lord arrested me, I am not sorry for following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
