I’LL TELL YOU WHAT

Connecticut Governor’s Mansion
Greetings dear and precious children of God and welcome back to our Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful and instructive Book. Of course, we could say the same about the other sixty-five Books of the Bible. This a Book of life. That is not just life for later, now and forever. Don’t buy into that poverty and suffering teaching that seems so popular, it is not Bible. That is not to say that Christians won’t have great challenges. The Truth is this. Christ conquered and we need only occupy in the name of Jesus. Children of God suffer defeats due to ignorance and unbelief. We can be lazy and not study to rightly divide the Word. The Word of God, the Truth, received, believed and acted upon is nothing but victory and nothing but up. Many believe the wrong things (doctrines of demons, traditions of men). Subsequently they are not seeing the promises manifest but in spite of that don’t find out why and change to the Truth. By the way these wrong ideas are commonly taught right in Church giving them a religious flare. We tend to receive them without testing them, that is to say, where are the other witnesses. Saying it loud, with emotion, and often does not make it right. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you greatly expanding our reach. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture is to remind us to pray for those in authority, those in government.
1 Timothy 2:1-3 (KJV)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Now, let’s turn our attention back to our primary Bible text in the Bible Book of Isaiah. What a Book! You are reading out loud, right?
Isaiah 36:8-13 (NLT)
8 “I’ll tell you what! Strike a bargain with my master, the king of Assyria. I will give you 2,000 horses if you can find that many men to ride on them!
9 With your tiny army, how can you think of challenging even the weakest contingent of my master’s troops, even with the help of Egypt’s chariots and charioteers?
10 What’s more, do you think we have invaded your land without the LORD’s direction? The LORD himself told us, ‘Attack this land and destroy it!’”
11 Then Eliakim, Shebna, and Joah said to the Assyrian chief of staff, “Please speak to us in Aramaic, for we understand it well. Don’t speak in Hebrew, for the people on the wall will hear.”
12 But Sennacherib’s chief of staff replied, “Do you think my master sent this message only to you and your master? He wants all the people to hear it, for when we put this city under siege, they will suffer along with you. They will be so hungry and thirsty that they will eat their own dung and drink their own urine.”
13 Then the chief of staff stood and shouted in Hebrew to the people on the wall, “Listen to this message from the great king of Assyria!
14 This is what the king says: Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you. He will never be able to rescue you.
15 Don’t let him fool you into trusting in the LORD by saying, ‘The LORD will surely rescue us. This city will never fall into the hands of the Assyrian king!’
Here we see the ongoing negotiation between Rabshakeh (King Sennacherib chief of staff) and King Hezekiah’s representative. It is really more like a taunting before Assyria’s assault on Jerusalem which they assume will be as easy and embarrassing for Israel. After all they have invaded and occupied all of Israel excepting Jerusalem, but it is not to be. Has the enemy come to you and said “so you’re trusting the Lord, how is that working for you?” Of course, he has in one form or another. It is important that we answer the taunts of the demons with the Word of God, bind him and cast him out of the house, car, etc. He’ll come back but be consistent in the name of Jesus. Just because the answer is not manifest at the moment in the natural does not mean you don’t have it.
Mark 11:23-24 (KJV)
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Bold added)
This is not only Bible but it’s in red!
