COMMAND YE ME – PART FIVE
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to another edition of my Bible teaching from the wonderful Book of Isaiah. The Lord is so good to give us a lamp unto our feet which is the Word of God. Please take a moment to share this Bible teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture today is of Donna and me on one of our excursions which also involved eating.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:11-13 (KJV)
11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.
God is not just going around doing stuff in His great Wisdom and Sovereignty with us being mere spectators. No, we are integral to God getting His will done in the earth. It can happen the easy way or the hard way but it will happen. Now separate the grand scheme of things from our individual lives. His overall plan will be accomplished through people over time. Is it ever the will of God for someone to go to Hell? Of course not! This predestination lie is one of the fables the Apostle Peter talked about in 2 Peter 1:16. God is patient and He will find, wait for, a willing heart to do His will.
The children of Israel should have walked right into the Promised Land full of faith in their God but they had more faith in the walled cites, iron chariots, and perceived giants. The will of God was for them to have the Promised Land, it was theirs for the occupying, just as all the promises of God are for us today. Was it the will of God from the beginning that there be a flood that killed all the people on the earth excepting Noah and his family (8 persons)? Did He plan that or was that the consequence of the actions of people on the earth? Actions people took according to their own freewill, not under the controlled or directed by God or evil. I am talking about how God accomplishes His will in the earth. It is by people speaking His will, His Word, in faith, in love, and He will do it. We have the authority; He has the Power. Let’s see how Jesus, the sample Son, the first born among many brethren (Romans 8:29) did things as a man (Philippians 2:7-8) in the earth. So how did our perfect example do what He did? Don’t go squealing “but that was Jesus”. How did He tell us to do it?
John 14:10-12 (KJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
So, we see that Jesus only spoke what the Father spoke. What about you and me? Jesus goes on to say then that the Father who was with Him did the works. Sounds a lot like this following familiar Scripture.
Mark 16:20 (KJV)
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Jesus goes on to say that the works He did we were to do as well. Can that be true? Not only are we to be doing what He did but even greater works. Do we believe the Word of God? Listen carefully to the following passage.
Luke 7:21-22 (KJV)
21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
Is this a reality in your life, my life, your Church, my Church?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week and remember we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
