Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our delightful study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful Book and what a loving God to give us insights, a lamp for our feet. Before moving forward please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today is provided by Joe Getchell Jr, a wonderful man of God who also take wonderful pictures.
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:17-19 (KJV)
17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
You will recall that we are talking about our obligation to pray for, minister to of our treasure, and honor the Jewish peoples, the nation of Israel. If you are just coming on board as a new reader the Holy Spirit is having me key off of verse seventeen of our primary text. It is a somewhat protracted side issue teaching but I don’t always get to do what I want in these teachings. I have been reviewing chapter 11 of Romans where the Apostle Paul, “a bond servant of Jesus Christ” is teaching about Israel and the Church. There are those who teach a Replacement Theology saying that the Church has replaced Israel. God through Paul is speaking a resounding NO.
Romans 11:9-12 (AMP)
9 And David says, Let their table (their feasting, banqueting) become a snare and a trap, a pitfall and a just retribution [rebounding like a boomerang upon them];
10 Let their eyes be darkened (dimmed) so that they cannot see, and make them bend their back [stooping beneath their burden] forever.
11 So I ask, Have they stumbled so as to fall [to their utter spiritual ruin, irretrievably]? By no means! But through their false step and transgression salvation [has come] to the Gentiles, so as to arouse Israel [to see and feel what they forfeited] and so to make them jealous.
12 Now if their stumbling (their lapse, their transgression) has so enriched the world [at large], and if [Israel’s] failure means such riches for the Gentiles, think what an enrichment and greater advantage will follow their full reinstatement!
Wow, did you see that. Their fall has been for the enrichment of all peoples. We the Gentiles to whom this salvation came in part due to their transgression are to make them, the Jews, jealous. Verse twelve tells us unequivocally that Israel will have a full reinstatement. Oh, what a day for them, for all peoples. Let’s continue with this eleventh chapter of Romans.
Romans 11:13-16 (AMP)
13 But now I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I lay great stress on my ministry and magnify my office,
14 In the hope of making my fellow Jews jealous [in order to stir them up to imitate, copy, and appropriate], and thus managing to save some of them.
15 For if their rejection and exclusion from the benefits of salvation were [overruled] for the reconciliation of a world to God, what will their acceptance and admission mean? [It will be nothing short of] life from the dead!
16 Now if the first handful of dough offered as the firstfruits [Abraham and the patriarchs] is consecrated (holy), so is the whole mass [the nation of Israel]; and if the root [Abraham] is consecrated (holy), so are the branches.
The Apostle Paul, thus the Lord Himself, is expressing a deep concern for the Jews. He is praying they be stirred up to jealousy and that in the process some of them come to salvation. Let’s look at the sixteenth verse in the New Living Translation.
Romans 11:16 (NLT)
16 And since Abraham and the other patriarchs were holy, their descendants will also be holy—just as the entire batch of dough is holy because the portion given as an offering is holy. For if the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too.
Sounds familiar don’t you think and it is wonderful.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
