Greetings dear saints of God, brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to the study of the Bible Book of Jude. Please take a moment and share all of these teachings as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. Can you believe it, Christmas and New Years are behind and 2024 stretches out before us. I have been urging us to reflect upon 2023 and whether or not we did the will of God for our lives. Have you done that? Is the Kingdom of God truly first or something we get too as we can? Our assignments in the Kingdom of God are far more than our Church time and “quiet time”. These are the places of enlightenment and where the Lord steers our day, our week, our life. I am not talking about Him controlling us like puppets but sharing with us His will for today, this week, our life. As we come to understand the will of God are we quick to do it being both willing and obedient?
Isaiah 1:19-20 (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
What is the condition of our heart as we go about the business of the Kingdom? Which verse applies to me, to you, nineteen or twenty? This Book deals with our faith meaning not only believing but what we believe. It also deals with the much debated and toxic idea of once saved always saved.
Now, let’s delve into our primary Bible text in the Book of Jude. Be sure you are reading out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Jude 1:3-5 (KJV)
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
Jude started this letter, epistle, with the intent of focusing on our common salvation. The word common here does not mean nothing special but a shared salvation. Apparently as he embarks on this assignment something comes to his attention regarding corruption of the Christian faith. Those of you who have followed The Three Minute Word for any length of time know this is a theme I hit upon very frequently. It is very important that we believe the Truth and that our lives are based upon the Truth. A lot of things are true or factual but that does not make them the Truth (notice the capital T meaning it is of Divine origin).
When Jude says to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” he is not talking about all the teachings of your particular denomination or your denominational or other Statement of Faith, but the Truth that brought you to Christ. You have heard me ask often (if you are reading out loud) if we are good Bereans.
Acts 17:11 (KJV)
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. The Lord is good and He cannot lie!

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Bold added)
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
