AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

LIFT UP THY VOICE

Greetings dear brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to this exciting study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us His Word, His will, we walk in darkness by our choice, not His. Please take a moment before we move on to share these teachings to disseminate the Truth as widely as possible. The wintry picture today was taken by myself in Mount Vernon, Maine a year or so ago. Very pretty, I have been there and done that, and now I am very happy to be in San Antonio, Texas.
As you will recall, the last two days I have spoken to you about worldview and how few (one in ten) believers have a Biblical worldview. Have you ever been in a Christian social gathering and listen to the conversations going on around you? I have been in a setting with a number of folks and a Bible topic comes up and within a very short space of time all but one or two have splintered off into other groups to talk the carnal things of interest to them (the treasure in their hearts). You may even hear the comment: “I get enough of that on Sunday”. Don’t we, don’t they, know that a real Christian life is exciting and rewarding beyond description? I like to be with the ones that just can’t ever seem to get enough Word, they hunger and thirst after the Word, after righteousness. Not only are they hungry to know the Word, the thoughts and ways of God, but are eager to do them. Remember this from the Sermon on the Mount.
Matthew 5:6 (KJV)
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Jesus is not just talking about getting filled up with the Word of God like a great reservoir. That is part of it, but He is talking about us walking in, walking out the Word, with the Blessing functioning in our lives. Now let’s turn our attention to our text in the Book of Isaiah and continue to read out loud.
Isaiah 10:30-34 (KJV)
30 Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.
32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
God continues to talk to His people in very plain language through His Prophet. No different today. Just like then, we today must discern between the voices to which we listen. We must never be in group looking to get our ears tickled with our pre-established paradigm.
2 Timothy 4:2-5 (KJV)
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (Bold added)
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
This is before our eyes even now! The Lord assures His people that there is a limit as to how far the enemy can come. They, the Assyrians, will not enter Jerusalem. They will shake their hand (fist) at Jerusalem but it will not be destroyed, not yet.
2 Kings 19:31-34 (KJV)
31 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.
32 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.
33 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.
34 For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.
Lord willing, I will speak more about this tomorrow. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
