AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

RUTHLESS ENEMIES DRIVEN AWAY
Greetings friends and partners and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. We are currently teaching four days a week from the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah. A Book that tells us much about the coming Messiah (at that time) and the consequences of rebellion against God. We see that God is longsuffering but also a God of justice. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. Those who share have a very important role in this Ministry and furthering the Kingdom of God. The featured picture today is another fall scene in the State of Maine. Fall is a wonderful and colorful time in Maine however the main problem is that if you live there is right before winter. If there is one thing, I know with certainty I really dislike, more like abhor, that is the cold. There I said it!
A few days ago, in a time with the Lord, understanding we are always with Him and He is always with us, He gave me a very simple idea. When healing comes through one of His sons, we, the son, are like jumper cables. Many of us have had the experience of needing our car to be jumped, the power jumps from one place to another through jumper cables. The source of Power is God, who is with us and in us. The recipient of this Power is the person in need of healing with faith in the Source of Power and the jumper cable. The jumper cable, the one through whom the Power will flow, is you and me dear ones. Here is the really important thing, no jumper cable, no transfer of Power. Are we keeping ourselves at the ready for this transfer of Power for the benefit of another, the Kingdom of God? A similar truth is when there is a harvest of whatever from the field, it goes into a storage area, and then is dispersed to one in need. The harvest is God provision (money, other assets, etc.) to us the storage area, and the recipient in need is the one God brings in our path. At this time let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 29:5-8 (TLB)
5 But suddenly your ruthless enemies will be driven away like chaff before the wind.
6 In an instant, I, the Lord of Hosts, will come upon them with thunder, earthquake, whirlwind, and fire.
7 And all the nations fighting Jerusalem will vanish like a dream!
8 As a hungry man dreams of eating but is still hungry, and as a thirsty man dreams of drinking but is still faint from thirst when he wakes up, so your enemies will dream of victorious conquest, but all to no avail.
Remember the Hebrews, children of Israel (those coming from the 12 tribes/sons of Jacob renamed Israel by God) are a Blood Covenant people with God starting with and through Abram/Abraham. Even when His children spurn Him, He does not turn away from them continuing to love them, being patient with them, and all the while administering justice. You know, I don’t think that we really understand how egregious sin, disobedience, is in the sight of God. Sin at any time from the Garden of Eden to this day is a rejection of the Word of God. Remember, Jesus is the Word of God. What an awful thing to reject Jesus the One who died for us all, Old and New Testament saints alike.
John 1:1-4 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:14 (KJV)
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The children of Israel gave place to Satan time after time, and time after time Gods’ heart was broken and His fury rose and Satan was given a certain latitude to bring his stealing, killing, and destruction into their lives. Many died prematurely at the hand of foreign peoples that did not need to be. All due to sin, all due to disobedience. When the sentence was served however God brought justice upon those Satan used for, they generally went too far. We see that in our primary text, when justice is served, your enemies will be swept away, no longer able to vex you. Jerusalem will forever be the capital of Israel and Israel will be a nation before God forever, until the new heaven and the new earth.
Jeremiah 31:35-36 (KJV)
35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
It is only with the new heaven and the new earth that the things spoken of in these verses will cease.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
