A WELL OF TRUTH
WHAT ABOUT REPENTANCE?

Greetings dear and precious brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to A Well of Truth todays teaching about repentance. You may remember the quote attributed to B. H. Clendennen “We preach what revival brings rather than preach what brings revival”. One of the things that brings revival is repentance. Why? If we were doing everything right, we would be in constant revival! How much of the Church lives and what much of the Church believe and confess is diametrically opposed to the Bible. It makes a difference! A sincere heart is wonderful but it must be sanctified and believe and confess the Truth. By sanctified I mean set apart to God, the Kingdom of God, and His way of doing. This must push out and eliminate our traditions and lies of devils that keep us in bondage and out of “revival”.
Before I continue, please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means at your disposal. Thank you so much for sharing, you are a Kingdom asset and blessing to this Ministry. As we consider when things will turn for us individually, as a family, and a Church meditate on the following verse before I move forward.
Joel 2:18 (KJV)
18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
If you have studied Scripture, you know this does not just happen, all things, conditions, are available from God, but people chose the things and the conditions of their lives. Well, let’s go back a couple of verses and see what will trigger verse eighteen bringing different things and condition to them, to the land.
Joel 2:12-17 (KJV)
12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
Do we the people individually and our leaders really need to take verse seventeen and all that follows above seriously and do it? Yeah, if you want a change! There is a very foolish idea it seems everywhere that if we keep doing what we are now doing long enough and with enough enthusiasm things will change. No, they will not!
Joel 2:18-19 (KJV)
18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
If there was ever a time that the Church is a reproach among the heathen it is now. The heathen sees no value to Church and neither do most attending Church except they don’t want to go to Hell. Dear ones, this must change and we are the only ones who can bring the change. If we are waiting for God to just swoop in on our situation and change us and our circumstances we will be waiting forever. But look at the verses above (18 & 19) and those that follow below for the results of repentance, a change in thinking, speaking, and doing in line with God and not tradition and the lies of demons. The Church, the man and woman of God will once again be honored, revered, even feared in the community. Now, let’s move into the abundance brought in every area by repentance. We cannot make even close to the impact we must make before the coming of the Lord without abundance. Our Ministry is in our overflow.
Joel 2:23-27 (KJV)
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
I know many interpret the rain in verse twenty-three as outpourings of the Holy Spirit but most commonly in Scripture water, rain, is the Word of God. We have the former, Old Testament, and the latter, New Testament. The Word applied in faith brings forth all things in abundance and the overflow of the blood (wine) and the Anointing (oil). All that the demons have stolen through our traditions brought about by their deceptions will be reversed and there will be a flow of plenty. There is coming a time, soon for the remnant, when there will be an abundance of overflow, such that we cannot contain it, and should not contain it. The remnant Church will not be powerless as many Churches are today but will be a mighty blessing in the community doing good and healing all that oppressed of the devil.
Lord willing, I will return next week with more Truth from the well of Heaven.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
