TAKEN BY WHOM?

Greetings dear and precious saints and welcome back to this powerful Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. The featured picture today of a decaying caboose was graciously provided by wonderful children of God, Bob and Kathy French. Thank you, Bob and Kathy. This could easily be a picture of the modern Church. Now, let’s pick up with our Bible Study. What a wonderful Book for us to learn from and develop in the ways of the Kingdom of God. Either here or there we will completely renew our minds. Do we believe that Jesus’ mind was completely as the Fathers’? Of course, we do. Do we believe we can have the same mind? No, many don’t think so. Did Jesus Himself tell us we were to do the works He did and even greater works? Would that include a mind like His, like the Fathers’?
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Philippians 2:4-5 (KJV)
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Do we need a good theologian to talk us out of what the Scripture declares plainly? Let’s get to work on this, it is very doable, the Master, the Scripture says so. The traditions of men and doctrines of demons, which comprise most of our Church services, will be displaced in Heaven by the Truth. This will not occur by one fell swoop of the Fathers Hand but by study and practice. We must displace, unlearn the ways of the world, and replace with the Truth, Word of God which is the thoughts of God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Continuing to read out loud let’s move to our primary Bible text.
Isaiah 8:13-15 (KJV)
13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
How do we come to stumble, fall, be broken, snared, and taken? It is always the same, we remove our eyes from the Truth, accept the lie, and walk after another god, another Jesus. It is always the same, has been since the Garden of Eden. You know the story of the first sin in the Garden of Eden. If you don’t then read the first three chapters of Genesis. Let’s take a moment to look at a couple of Scriptures to help us. Our sin is never God’s fault nor the devils.
1 John 2:15-17 (KJV)
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Whose flesh (physical body and unrenewed mind), whose eyes, and whose pride is involved here? Yours and mine! Now, the Apostle James really nails it!
James 1:13-15 (KJV)
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
As I close for today, listen (you are reading out loud, right?) to what God said to Cain.
Genesis 4:7 (CJB)
7 If you are doing what is good, shouldn’t you hold your head high? And if you don’t do what is good, sin is crouching at the door — it wants you, but you can rule over it.”
Is it the demons (sin) that takes us or do we willingly walk right into their traps, deceptions, thus taking ourselves?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
