DO NOT PRACTICE WORKS OF THE FLESH

Greetings dear saints of God and any others taking a look at this Christian Bible Teaching. I teach the Bible from the Bible. I do not rely on the traditions of men, doctrines of demons or sacred cows. Prove all things dear ones, prove all things by the Bible. Today I will be continuing the teaching series on The Kingdom of God. This is teaching number one-hundred thirty-two. Now, let’s go to our primary text.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Are you seeking to look like our Lord in everything you do? Are you stiving for excellence, integrity, and to be the go-to person in your sphere of influence? I know it seems like a tall order to our natural mind but remember we are not alone, we have the mind of Christ, and we are inhabited by the Holy Spirit who knows all.
Now, let’s move to our next teaching Scripture on the Kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21 (KJV)
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
People who practice these things are not going to Heaven and are not presently in the Kingdom of God. They are not only in the world, but they are also in your Church. Be sure it is not you. Before you exclaim that you are not doing any of these things take a close look at each and every word, be sure you know the definition. For example, choosing to believe things contrary to Scripture failing to study and prove what you believe is heresy. What about idolatry? Is there anything or anyone you put ahead of God? Be careful to examine yourself before answering. What about wrath and/or strife? What about witchcraft. Are you or have you tried to manipulate another person to do your biding? What about spiritual adultery? This is being friends with the world in some aspect which is enmity with God. All of this can be forgiven and blotted out by the Blood of Jesus, recognize it, and repent. The Scripture tells us plainly, soberly, that these things close the door to the Kingdom of God who practices them. This teaching passage sounds a lot like the following passage associated with those who can enter the new heaven, the new earth, and the new Jerusalem.
Revelation 21:7-8 (KJV)
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
TAKE HOME:
- We have the mind of Christ and are inhabited by the Holy Spirit, the repository of all knowledge and Power.
- Those who practice the works of the flesh cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.
- The one who overcomes the works of the flesh shall inherit all things.
