THE LORD HATH SPOKEN IT

Greetings dear and precious children of the only living God and welcome back to this in-depth study of the Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful Book. God is so good to us. Before I proceed, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible so that the reach of this really good news to expanded. I have not mentioned it in some time, but the most reliable (compared to Facebook) way to receive these teachings is by email. Simply send me an email (pastordavidwood@gmail.com) requesting to be on my email list. You will receive an invitation back from me which you need to accept and it is a done deal. The featured picture today is provided by our good friend and woman of God, Kathy French. We are currently on the hunt (God directed) for a home here in San Antonio with a pool (smile) per Ms. Donna. Donna and I believe we are where the Lord wants us, and in this place, we will further the Kingdom according to His will for us. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah. Please continue to read aloud, yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing the spoken Word (Rhema) and it is impossible to please God without faith.
Isaiah 1:19-20 (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
The Lord looks at the heart of each of us and determines or judges our motives. He knows if we are willing and He knows if our obedience is from a willing or reluctant heart. Are our motivations pure. Is our motive for obedience (willing eager to do it) love (agape) of God wanting to further the Kingdom, the Kingdom way or something else? The “something else” could be that primarily we want to please someone else or even to gain recognition or favor from someone else. Before I move on let’s take a look at another witness to our primary Bibles verses.
Job 36:11-12 (KJV)
11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
Isn’t verse eleven a carbon copy of Isaiah 1:19? Verse twelve above however adds an element to our understanding we did not see in Isaiah 1:20. That element is “they shall die without knowledge”. What comes to mind?
Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
The destruction comes as the result of rejecting knowledge, a conscious decision to reject knowledge (revelation knowledge). We are commanded to study and rightly divide the Word of God, to do otherwise is sin, it is refusing God, and it is rebellion.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
This is a command, not a holy suggestion. Have you and I decided with a whole and pure heart to obey and serve the Lord? Are we up to our necks in prosperity and pleasure? If not why not? Could it be we are fooling ourselves or the devil is fooling (deceiving) us concerning really obeying and serving. Come on dear ones, let us judge ourselves that we be not judged. Let us awake, arise, and triumph in Him bringing open shame to our adversaries.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
