ARE YOU RULING OR BEING PUSHED AROUND BY LIES?

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and the continuation of a brand-new Bible Study titled “The Salvation Package”. The question is this, what does salvation mean? What does it mean to be saved? It seems to me that a common understanding is that when one is saved, they are going to Heaven not Hell when they die. It seems that the common message conveyed is that when we give our heart to the Lord, we go to Heaven someday, and in the meantime, we are to develop our character to be more like Jesus. Is that all that salvation or being saved means? I believe we will see as we move into this study that salvation is indeed a package with more than one item in the package. If we think of salvation as entering a large home with many rooms, it seems that many have entered but have remained in the foyer. They talk about the other rooms, sing about the other rooms but never garner the faith to enter and possess the contents of the other rooms. Why isn’t the whole message of salvation preached and taught?
I left off yesterday discussing the Seventh Day, this is the day, the time of full provision put in place by God, our Heavenly Father, the sacrifice of the Son, and the Power of the Holy Spirit. Just as the children in our homes live as we the parents live so has God provided for us to live as He lives now and later. We looked at the Seventh Day in Genesis now let’s look at it in the Book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 4:10-12 (KJV)
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
We are to cease doing things the way of the earth cursed toil and sweat but, in the rest, or provision of God. This is done by faith, in love, led by the Holy Spirit. Notice Hebrews 4:12 tells us plainly that the Word of God discerns the thoughts and intents of our heart. The provision of God will not, cannot, flow where there is no faith and wrong motives (selfishness). One might fool another person but not the Word of God, who is God the Son, Jesus. Okay, now let’s get back to the original intent of God for His children which has been restored in Christ Jesus.
Genesis 1:26-28 (NLT)
26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Genesis 2:15-17 (NLT)
15 The LORD God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the LORD God warned him,
16 “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—
17 except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”
I will speak much more about this when we resume next Monday. The authority, the Power, the seven mandates remain and will for eternity.
TAKE HOME:
- God made man in His image and likeness, that is to look like and act like Him. We are to rule over the earth, care for, and guard all that is given to our care.
- Is the mixing of the knowledge of good and evil keeping you out of the provision of God?
- Just as with Eve in chapter three of Genesis all our evil enemies can do are talk to us.
