Greetings dear and precious saints and those who will soon be saints and welcome back to this exciting study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful Lord we serve with willing hearts. When I look back at my days of rebellion, I think how foolish, but when the evil one has you in his grip you think sin and darkness are fun and desirable. Thank you, Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, for your mercy, compassion, and patience with me. The featured picture today is of St. Paul’s Church in Washington DC. The purpose of these Church pictures is to remind us to intercede for each other and the Church at large.
Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the instructive, Prophetic, and Messianic Bible Book of Isaiah.
Isaiah 61:1-3 (NKJV)
1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
How many believe that this chapter is instruction to us individually and to the body of Christ (local congregations and the body at large)? How many believe that the Spirit of the Lord is upon them? The Ministry of Jesus showed us in part what our lives were to look like. His Ministry included the first verse and half of Isaiah sixty-one. The primary purpose and focus of His coming were to destroy the works of the devil freeing us to embody all of this chapter of Isaiah.
John 14:12 (NKJV)
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
Jesus restored spiritual authority and He restored the Blessing for all that would receive Him as Lord and Savior. The Eden mandates or commands were restored for all in the Kingdom of God. Also, we have full access and participation in the Covenant God made with Abram/Abraham for the natural things of the earth.
Galatians 3:13-14 (NKJV)
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),
14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:29 (NKJV)
29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Dear ones we need to step fully into our sonship here in the earth doing all of Isaiah sixty-one for the glory of God. Don’t be that one that hide the Masters talent in the ground.
Matthew 25:26 (NKJV)
26 But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
