ARM OF THE LORD
Greetings dear and precious saints of God, saved by the Blood of Jesus and set apart for His use. The Lord is really good. Being set apart for His us is a really, really good thing. We are either set apart for His us, our own use which is a dead end, or the use of the demons and that has terrible consequences. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible expanding our reach with the Truth. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today was provided by Marilyn Stevens who takes some really wonderful pictures. Thank you, Marilyn.
This day in history
On April 30, 1945, as Soviet troops approached his Berlin bunker, Adolf Hitler took his own life along with that of his wife of one day, Eva Braun. On this date: In 1789, George Washington took the oath of office in New York as the first president of the United States. https://whnt.com/news/national/this-day-in-history/this-day-in-history-april-30/
Now, let’s turn our attention fully to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud. You know why.
Isaiah 53:1-3 (KJV)
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Yesterday I dealt briefly with the “a” portion of the 1st verse and we learned this is talking about someone who listened to hear to understand. When they became focused, they believed. The report of course is the gospel of the Kingdom of God and you will recall this word is feminine in gender. This should not surprise us since we are the Kingdom and we are designed to increase to reproduce. Remember the seven eternal Eden Mandates found in Genesis 1:28, 2:15-17. The first two are to be fruitful and multiply.
This brings us to the “b” portion of this first verse which says “and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?” The arm of the Lord is the salvation of the Lord in this particular case. We understand that from context, the verses to follow. The report is of the Messiah and all that comes with receiving the Messiah. The Savior is revealed to those who listen to understand. Of course, dear ones this is not the end, it is the start. We then must do.
Now, lets take a look for a moment at the 2nd verse of our text.
Isaiah 53:2 (KJV)
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
The “he” in the first line is Jesus and “him” is the Father. Jesus came forth out of dry ground, spiritually dry ground, the occupied nation of Israel. He is not described in His earthly Ministry as an attractive person that we would want to be close too. As I end for today remember that Jesus had no problem drawing a crowd, multitudes, and we know it was not his physical appearance. His Anointing, His Words of life, and His acts of compassion brought multitudes to Him and will do the same for you. What might one conclude if there are no multitudes? If the lame are not leaping, the blind are not seeing, the deaf are not hearing, the maimed are not restored, the bound are not delivered, and the dead (physical and spiritual) are not raised what do we know?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, the Lord is good, nothing but good, He instigates nothing bad, and He cannot lie.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
