WOUNDED BRUISED CHASTISED STRIPS
Greetings dear and precious saints of the Most High God, and welcome back to our engaging and empowering (if you choose) study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. Thank you so much for sharing. You are important to this Ministry but more importantly the Kingdom of God. The featured picture today is to remind us to not only pray for those around us and as led of the Holy Spirit but to pray for those in authority in the seven mountains of our culture. We emphasize the governmental sphere of influence and that is extraordinarily important, but all have an impact upon our lives and culture. Read the following passage slowly, carefully, brushing aside the temptation to skim down through it with the attitude of having read it before.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 (AMP)
1 FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men,
2 For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.
3 For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior,
4 Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth.
Great darkness is present in all spheres of our culture. What does that mean? An absence of light. Darkness whether it be physical or spiritual has no choice but to flee in the face of light. We are the light of the world with Jesus gone to Heaven. Spiritual light is the Truth in our thoughts, our words, and our actions. Many believe they are speaking Truth and are lights but they are full of the traditions of men and doctrines of demons. These are darkness not light.
Matthew 6:22-23 (KJV)
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 53:4-6 (KJV)
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
This mercy and grace for all to see. The lives of saints and sinners alike have many occasions for grief and sorrow. The difference is that we are supernaturally equipped to deal with grief and sorrow. Our Lord and Savior has already carried the griefs and sorrows that come our way and we are free to have joy and rejoice. Let’s look at verse five in the NLT.
Isaiah 53:5 (NLT)
5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Peace with God, the Father, has come through Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1-2 (KJV)
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
By His strips we have been, already are, healed. Let us do our part being fully persuaded of this receive what He so freely gives.
1 Peter 2:22-24 (KJV)
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. The Lord is good, nothing but good, and He cannot lie.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
