ALL WE LIKE SHEEP
Greetings dear and precious saints of God, my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Welcome back to this enlightening and stimulating study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. God is so good. The featured picture today of two beautiful Cardinals is provided by Marilyn Stevens who take absolutely stunning pictures. Thank you, Marilyn.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 53:6-9 (KJV)
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
In this chapter we see the suffering, the anguish of the Christ, and it was all for you, all for me, all for everyone who has ever lived or will live. If you have read in the gospels and of course here of what Jesus suffered (spirit, soul, and body) from the time He surrendered in in the Garden of Gethsemane until the Resurrection, it is hard to comprehend. Yet, He did it and did it gladly, volunteered for it, for the joy set before Him.
Hebrews 12:2 (NIV)
2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Thank you so much Lord and Savior, thank you so much Father, and think you Holy Spirit, the eternal Spirit. Thank you, seems so weak in the face of the gift. If you have been following this study of Isaiah and/or have been a student of the Bible you know that very few generations have not gone astray, gone their own way. What about you and me?
Isaiah 5:20-21 (KJV)
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Seen any of this recently? How many days have we done what was right in our own sight with no regard for the King of this Kingdom of which we are citizens?
Judges 21:25 (KJV)
25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
In verse eight we see that Jesus was cut off from the land of the living. Jesus was a three part being just like us, just like the first Adam. He is the last Adam.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow, remember the Lord is good, no evil originates with Him, and He cannot lie.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
