THE FATHER WAS SATISFIED
Video link
Greetings dear and precious saints and welcome back to our Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. It is an encouragement to us when people share for it shows they value the teachings and believe others can as well.
The featured picture today is of Donna and me in Kerrville Texas at a restaurant named Billy Gene’s. I know, a lot of our pictures are taken at restaurants, perhaps that is contributing to my round cheeks. Before we delve into our Isaiah text, I want to share something that may help you.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I want to focus in on “rightly dividing the word of truth”. This is extraordinarily important. Due to a lack of rightly dividing the Word of Truth we have myriads of denominations and beliefs within denominations and even within a single Church, and even within a family. All too many beliefs are based on half a verse, a single verse or the context of a single passage of Scripture. It is always wise to have at least one supporting witness to the same Truth elsewhere in Scripture by a different writer. Something I believe the Lord brought to my thinking recently was to be sure we don’t develop a theology, a belief, that violates any Spiritual Law of the Kingdom of God. This first was brought into my thinking with regard to the Spiritual Law of Freewill which God established from the beginning, the making of Adam.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in this wonderful Book of Isaiah. Please continue to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 53:9-12 (KJV)
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
I am picking up with verse eleven today. The Father saw that the sacrifice of His Son, the Word, satisfied the debt of sin.
Romans 3:22-25 (KJV)
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Jesus died, shed His Blood for everyone of all time but we must choose His Blood. We are made righteous or in right standing with the Father by faith in Jesus Christ. The door is open to all, sadly many will refuse. The word “propitiation” is an interesting word transliterated from the Greek to English as hilastērion meaning an atoning victim, or (special) the lid of the Ark according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Meaning to propitiate (appease), expiate (recompense/payment) be merciful according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – New Testament.
Lord willing, I will pick up with the twelfth verse next Monday. The Lord is nothing but good, He cannot lie, and His mercy endures forever.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
