ANYONE WHO THIRSTS
Video link: https://youtu.be/vO1KQg0cqeQ
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our ongoing Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us such a wonderful roadmap for our lives. A roadmap for an optimal life here and all that comes after here. Opposition comes but we are well equipped in Christ Jesus to repel him and recognize his deceptions. Prosperity in every arena of life is God’s idea. He’s very prosperous you know. He is our Daddy. We are His very own sons. Scripture says Jesus inherited it all and we are joint-heirs with Him. Awaken dear ones! Why does much of the Church gobble up the poverty suffering gospel? It is a false gospel! One taught to the Church by the world and one further perpetrated in many Churches.
Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Sharing indicates to us that you value these teachings, find them helpful, encouraging, and believe others may benefit as well.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible Text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 55:1-5 (ESV)
1 “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.
4 Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the LORD your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.
As our Father God is speaking through His Prophet Isaiah to His errant people do we think He is really talking about natural water, wine, milk, and bread? Jesus is that water, the Word, that which cleanses.
John 4:10 (KJV)
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Jesus is that living bread sacrificed that we have life.
John 6:50-51 (ESV)
50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.
51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
The wine is symbolic of the shed blood of Christ that blots out our sins.
Matthew 26:26-28 (KJV)
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Now, what about the milk? To get a better insight I used the first use rule for the word “milk”. This is a familiar account when Abraham and Sarah were again reminded of the promised son.
Genesis 18:1-2 (KJV)
1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
Genesis 18:7-10 (KJV)
7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.
8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.
9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.
10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
And so, Isaac came as promised and through him the promised Christ (Messiah, Redeemer) came.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. The Lord is so good and Scripture tells us that every good and perfect gift is from Him. He is not a mixture of good and evil!

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
