Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our ongoing Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us such a wonderful roadmap for our lives. A roadmap for an optimal life here and all that comes after here. Opposition comes but we are well equipped in Christ Jesus to repel him and recognize his deceptions. Prosperity in every arena of life is God’s idea. He’s very prosperous you know. He is our Daddy. Scripture says Jesus inherited it all and we are joint-heirs with Him. Awaken dear ones! Why does much of the Church gobble up the poverty suffering gospel? It is a false gospel! One taught to the Church by the world and one further perpetrated in many Churches.
Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Sharing indicates to us that you value these teachings, find them helpful, encouraging, and believe other may benefit as well.
The featured picture today is to remind us all to pray for the Seven Mountains of our Culture. When I say pray, I mean talk to God, search the Scripture finding His will. Once His will is known then we speak to the mountain (not God, we already talked to Him as to how to exercise our authority). We do it in faith, doubting not, motivated by love.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible Text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 55:1-5 (ESV)
1 “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.
4 Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the LORD your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.
Our primary Bible text today is presented in the English Standard Version (ESV) which is a word-for-word translation at the 8th grade reading level. It was produced by over 100 translators and published in 2001. Rose Publishing has many wonderful brochures including the one from which I took the information about the ESV translation, called Bible Translations Comparison. As with anything we study, really Scripture or anything else, we will have a better understanding if we establish a few things as baseline. For example, who is speaking and who are they speaking to. This is important especially in the Bible for everything in the Bible happened, it is true, but not all of Scripture is the Truth. For example, when the devil is speaking in the 3rd chapter of Genesis or other places, he does not speak the Truth. Of course, there are many other examples when various people are speaking and it is not God speaking through them or God speaking directly as when Jesus was baptized.
Now, what about our text? It is a continuation of God the Father speaking through His Prophet Isaiah about the coming Messiah, Jesus the Christ. The original Gentile nation and later the Jewish (Hebrew) nation have been hearing about the Messiah since the day of sin and death in the Garden.
Genesis 3:15 (ESV)
15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
Adam was a son of God and following sin a Gentile the father if you will of the Gentiles. The One that we refer to today, since the Cross, as God the Father was not known as such before Christ and of course Adam before sin, He was Jehovah and a variety of other names. Jesus was before the Cross known as the Word and Lord of Hosts.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember the Lord is good, never tempts us to do evil, and never brings evil upon us to test or instruct us.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
