LISTEN DILIGENTLY
Video link: https://youtu.be/APl3TyhQAso
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our ongoing Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us such a wonderful roadmap for our lives. A roadmap for an optimal life here and all that comes after here. Opposition comes but we are well equipped in Christ Jesus to repel him and recognize his deceptions. Prosperity in every arena of life is God’s idea. He’s very prosperous you know. He is our Daddy. Scripture says Jesus inherited it all and we are joint-heirs with Him. Awaken dear ones! Why does much of the Church gobble up the poverty suffering gospel? It is a false gospel! One taught to the Church by the world and one further perpetrated in many Churches.
Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Sharing indicates to us that you value these teachings, find them helpful, encouraging, and believe other may benefit as well. The featured picture of Donna and me was taken a couple of years ago now at a popular eatery in Kerrville Texas. I also thought the title of this teaching “Listen Diligently” was good advice for husbands and wives.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible Text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 55:1-5 (ESV)
1 “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.
4 Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the LORD your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.
Now, let’s pick up with verse two of our primary Bible text. The Lord through His Prophet is asking those people then and us now why do we pursue so hard after that which does not satisfy when that which does satisfy is so readily available. For the most part the Church is living no different than the world. Many in the body of Christ are not living in and by Kingdom of God laws, not living in the Seventh Day which was restored by Christ. Living in the Seventh Day means to live as Adam before sin lived and how Jesus lived during His earthly Ministry. It is by the provision of God, by the words of our mouth and not by our toil and sweat of our brow (the curse). Dear ones we are living far (this cannot be emphasized enough) below the will of God, and what Jesus bought and restored at Calvary.
Matthew 6:31-33 (ESV)
31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Are we seeking the Kingdom of God first or do we work it into our schedule for Sunday morning?
Matthew 11:27-30 (ESV)
27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Notice verse thirty, His yoke is easy, His burden is light. Is that your life?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember we love you; the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about it.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
