MORE ABOUT THOUGHTS
Video link: https://youtu.be/72gip1QRuUE
Greetings dear and precious children of God and thank you for rejoining this illuminating Bible Study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good dear ones. He has given us His Book to guide our steps for health and prosperity in every arena of life so that we can have maximal effectiveness in our Kingdom of God work. Dear ones it is so important that we run our race until all given for us to do of the Father in the Kingdom of God is done.
Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for valuing these teachings enough to share them.
The featured picture today is of Donna and me at Church some months ago. In case you’re wondering, I have lost some weight.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 55:8-11 (KJV)
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Well, let’s pick up once again with the eighth verse and the Lords statement that His thoughts are not our thoughts. Is this a true statement for all peoples for all times? No, it is not. This like every other Scripture must be put in context and seen through the lens of the full counsel of Scripture. Remember He is talking to a rebellious wayward people. Obviously, they do not have the thoughts of God but the other guy. Can that change? Of course, it can and you and I are living testimonies to that Truth. I hope that you are all intimately familiar with how we come to have His thoughts and they become ours. Listen to the Lord’s instructions to Joshua.
Joshua 1:8-9 (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
We all know that we think about and must think about a host of things in the course of any day. We have to focus on things like driving, baking a cake, a conversation with another, or doing our jobs. However, in those moments (seconds, minutes, hours) between we need to direct our thoughts to the good things of God, to His Word, to His goodness in our lives. We answer every challenge of the enemy with the Word of God just like Jesus in the wilderness. Back to Joshua, can you image some of the thoughts that could have overtaken him as he looks at the formidable impenetrable city of Jericho? However, these were to be pushed aside by the Word of God. Joshua came to a place that he could see Jericho in his hand.
Joshua 6:1-2 (KJV)
1 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.
Notice the “see” in verse two. We cannot have any promise of God, any vision given of God, until we can see it, see it in our spirit, our imagination, then and only then can we possess it. This is true for natural people and for supernatural people. The difference is we, the supernatural people, have God.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Monday. Remember that we love you, God loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
