AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

VISITED OF THE LORD OF HOSTS
Greetings dearly beloved of the Lord and welcome back to this Study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. You have a very important role in this Ministry, in the Kingdom of God. Each of us have a vital role, that all the parts of the body work to maximum efficiency to increase the harvest and fruits of the Kingdom. The featured picture is of Donna and me three years ago at the Church of God campus in Cleveland Tennessee. We were being escorted around the campus by a wonderful friend, Leonard Albert and his wife Pat. Brother Leonard worked there many years.
I was recently introduced to a quote attributed to H. B. Clendenin and have introduced it to you. Don’t skip this, read it again! It goes like this; “We preach what revival brings rather than preaching what brings revival”. I am very struck by the truth of this and must confess I too am guilty of looking more at the end result and not enough at the necessary path to the end result. This does not mean I will stop teaching about what revival brings for we must have the reward, the carrot so to speak, in front of us. Without a target there is nothing to aim at and how would one know when they arrived. You will be hearing more about what brings revival. I can tell you what does not bring revival. Doing the same thing over and over again thinking we are going to obtain a different result, that is to say, revival. How is that working out?
Revival is a word that came into being concerning Gods’ people due to the sin, rebellion. Then we have this falsehood that revival is all up to God, in His timing, we just must be patient and wait on Him. That is hog swill. God is going to have a people that will rise up and do all that is necessary to usher in the return of the Lord Jesus (Rapture). The Father chooses the time to send His Son to get His bride but the bride (Church) must be ready. The Father is not sending His Son to get this current mess. Having said all that, always be looking for His return doing our part in the Kingdom. Now we have a Church, that talks about the wonderful things of God which should be common occurrences in and out of the Church building. They talk, talk, talk and confess to be praying but nothing happens. No faith! Then we develop a theology that it is all about Gods’ timing, it is beyond our understanding, pig puke. It was never and is not now, the will of God that how we live in the earth differ from Heaven. Yes, we have an adversary in the earth but what is our position, our authority, the Power available to us compared with these adversaries? However, far above these demonic adversaries Jesus is, so are we! Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah and continue reading out loud.
Isaiah 29:4-6 (KJV)
4 And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
Judgment starts with the people of God, then in Isaiah, and now, God does not change. By their choices, by our choices, we are being overrun by the kingdom of darkness due to a weak and feckless (spineless) Church. Lord forgive us and teach us where our backbone might be, it is in the Word of God, in our developing a fully persuaded faith in Gods’ Word and doing it. Faith without corresponding action (works) is dead.
James 2:17-18 (KJV)
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
It is not by faith alone and certainly not by works alone but action because we have faith, unwavering, in God. The Lord is telling His people that they are under a great and devastating judgment but then will come a devastating judgment upon those who decimated Gods’ people. So, it is today, the Church is under a judgment but then will come a great judgment upon the kingdoms of this world ending with Satan and his hoards spending eternity in the Lake of Fire. When will we make the Kingdom of God and His way of doing things our singular focus? When will we decide to truly love (agape) the Lord?
