AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

AT AN INSTANT SUDDENLY
Greetings dearly beloved of the Lord and welcome back to this Study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. You have a very important role in this Ministry, in the Kingdom of God. Each of us have a vital role, that all the parts of the body work to maximum efficiency to increase the harvest and fruits of the Kingdom. The featured picture is a wonderful autumn landscape in Maine, one of my favorite times of year there.
I was recently introduced to a quote attributed to H. B. Clendenin and have introduced it to you. It goes like this; “We preach what revival brings rather than preaching what brings revival”. I have been very struck by this and must confess I too am guilty of looking more at the end result and enough at the necessary path to the end result. This does not mean I will stop teaching about what revival brings for we must have the reward, the carrot so to speak, in front of us. On the other hand, I will not neglect the path to revival coupled with what brings revival. What does not bring revival is doing the same thing over and over again thinking we are going to obtain a different result, that is to say, revival. Revival is a word that came into being concerning Gods’ people due to the sin, rebellion. Now we have a Church, that talks about the wonderful things of God which should be common occurrences in and out to the Church building. Talk, talk, and confess to be praying and nothing happens. Then we develop a theology that it is all about Gods’ timing, it is beyond our understanding, pig puke. It was never and is not now, the will of God that how we live in the earth differ from Heaven. Yes, we have an adversary in the earth but what is our position, our authority, the Power available to us compared with these adversaries? However, far above these demonic adversaries Jesus is, so are we! Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah and continue reading out loud.
Isaiah 29:4-6 (KJV)
4 And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
God continues to speak through His Prophet to His people, He is not talking to the heathen though they, those who claim to be His people, are acting like and are even in league with the heathen. Verse four of our primary text lets us, lets them, know many are about to die. Then God says, when that is done there will be punishment upon these “terrible ones” and they will be blown away as chaff. Today in the Church this may be physical deaths but more importantly spiritual deaths, a turning away, a great apostasy. Now listen very carefully. Believing something old or sincerely does not make it the Truth. This is rampant today and has been so since the Garden of Eden. The Truth is the Scripture as written in context and confirmed by two or more witnesses.

11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Are you proving these words, the words you hear at your Church or on the TV?
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Are we studying so that we know the Truth when we hear it and we know the lie when we hear it. Remember, both may be heard right at Church, even from the platform. Prove all things! The Word rightly divided is divided or confirmed by other Truth in Scripture not what some ancient or modern saint as said. We must constantly be asking God to reveal any lies in our thinking that we believe as the Truth of God.
2 Timothy 2:24-26 (KJV)
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Believing and acting upon a lie, even if we believe it as the Truth is sin and makes a place for the devil. I for one want nothing to do with the devils’ snares or being taken captive by him at his will.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
