AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

WHO IS LIKE OUR GOD?
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. O how wonderful the Holy Scriptures are and to know they are reliable for our lives now and for eternity. Everything else is a façade. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand the reach of the Truth beyond our reach alone. The featured picture today is of Donna and me during a recent trip (January) to the Leander Church of God (a wonderful day in the Lord, in the Spirit). And yes, I have started a weight loss program. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the marvelous Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 40:12-17 (KJV)
12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
Sounds a whole lot like the Book of Job don’t you think? The answer to all these questions is no one did or could do these things. So, it is with Job when God questions him about where he was when God was doing all the wonderful things of creation.
Job 38:4-12 (KJV)
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;
There is nothing and no one to which we can compare our God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As marvelous as He has made us, even in His image and likeness, and all that He has put in our hands (authority and Power) we are nothing compared to Him (Them). Can we even start to fathom what was involved in the creation, all that is written above from Isaiah and Job? I don’t think so. We sing a song “How Great is our God” but can we really even scratch the surface on how great our God really is in all things? Next week Lord willing I will pick up with the following verse.

18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
