AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

WOE UNTO THEIR SOUL
Greetings dear and precious children, sons, of the Most High God, the only Living God and welcome back to this powerful study of the beautiful Bible Book of Isaiah. The beautiful picture featured today is from our good friend and man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible. This, the Word of God, is the very best news anyone, anywhere, at anytime has ever heard, period. Now, let’s turn to our primary Bible text reading it aloud, yes, out loud. Faith does not come by looking but by hearing the Word of God. The more we hear the Word of God the more of the Word of God we can hear and gain revelation concerning. I and the Scripture (Romans 10:17) is not talking just about natural sound waves hitting our tympanic membranes resulting in a natural hearing, we are talking about supernatural hearing. Having ears to hear which is listening to understand. Not just to understand and have light but to implement. Are we listening to understand and do, or are we just interested with a critical ear as to what I might have to say? Dear ones my prayer is that what I write is a gushing forth from Heaven through me, to me and to you. Now to our primary text.
Isaiah 3:9-12 (KJV)
9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Today, the ways of the world and the Church (ecclesia) are described well in this passage. Do you suppose the comparison is just a random choice of a sinful people? Why not choose Babylon for example? What is front and center in our world today? Sexual perversion of every sordid type. Is this 9th verse describing the world and the saint? Yes! The sexually perverted and otherwise (murdering the unborn) are in the face so to speak of others, there is no shame. What about the Church? We have developed some really perverted theologies (with the devils help of course) to explain our unbelief. These perverted and despicable theologies are designed to make us comfortable even sanctimonious in our poverty and sickness. Let’s take a look at the next two verses in the New Living Translation.
Isaiah 3:10-11 (NLT)
10 Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned!
11 But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve.
As we put these verses, especially ten (number of responsibility), in context we need to realize that although they are God’s people, most are not godly. However, those who are acting like God things will go well and we see example of this down through Scripture like Joseph and Daniel. Do you suppose the use of the term “rich reward” means what it seems to mean? Using the word “rich” for many in the Church is to be ungodly, but is that right? Didn’t Jesus say He came to give us an abundant life (not just in the hereafter but NOW? Since Jesus only said what the Father said how do we suppose God, the Father, would define abundance? Listen to the following from the Master’s mouth.
Mark 10:29-30 (KJV)
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Can this possible be right, eternal life in the world to come, and one hundredfold reaping in this life now? Jesus said it, is it Bible, is it the Truth, do we believe it? Back to our text, the godly and the wicked alike eat the fruit of their doings (thoughts, words, actions). What about the phrase “woe unto their soul” in verse nine? This describes various levels of destruction coming to the whole man, spirit, soul, and body, all due to their own choices.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
