Greetings dear children of God, my brothers and sisters in Christ, and welcome back to our study of this wonderful Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share this teaching and all from this Ministry as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The Lord is so very good to give us abounding light. We are not stumbling around in the dark except by choice, hand in hand with Jesus we walk in the fulness of light where there is no stumbling. When we stumble, we have left the path, His path, His light. Why would we do that? Pride, lack of submission, lack of humility, lust of the flesh and eye. The deceitfulness of the demons is amazing, and our willingness to receive of them is astonishing. As this week comes to an end, let us, each one of us, determine in our own hearts to filter everything through Scripture and do only the things which are Godly. This is love of God.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for today continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 49:24-26 (NIV)
24 Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives rescued from the fierce?
25 But this is what the LORD says: “Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.
26 I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
What a wonderful passage of Scripture! I review this passage particularly verse twenty-five almost every day and share frequently with people concerning their children. Sad to say many do not believe this, sometimes I get silence or the “yeah but” response. I didn’t write this; I am neither the Lord or Isaiah. The Lord starts off asking if plunder and captives can be taken away from or back from a fierce or marauding enemy. The Lord answers His own question and says yes and they will be. As you will recall the Lord is talking to His people who rebelled and were taken captive due to sin, idolatry primarily, like us today. This has been going on for several chapters. By the way the number twenty-five in Scripture has to do with the forgiveness of sin. When is sin forgiven? Following repentance.
Notice the word “contend” in verse twenty-five? According to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – Old Testament this Hebrew word is a verb meaning to strive, to contend, to dispute, and to conduct a lawsuit. The verb means to conduct a lawsuit or legal case and all that it involves. All that the Lord does has to have a legal basis. You have heard me talk about God needing legal access into the earth for the Messiah which He accomplished through Abram/Abraham by Blood Covenant. Man has authority in the earth not God. When we claim our children for the Kingdom of God as a son of God based on this Word, He will do whatever is necessary to bring that child, no matter their age, into the Kingdom. O what a promise!
As I come to the end of this chapter and this week let’s review verse twenty-six. Although the word repentance has not occurred in this or the preceding chapters, the Lord has spoken of returning to Him (repentance) and then He has gone on to tell at length what they can expect and what their enemies can expect. It is all wonderful for the Israelites and terrible but just for their oppressors. The Lord says that in that day, the day of their salvation, all mankind, KJV says all flesh, will know that He is Lord, Savior, Redeemer, and the Mighty One. Is that your testimony, my testimony? Can people observe and say that we are in a different Kingdom, thinking different, talking different, and acting different?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Tuesday, Monday is Martin Luther King Day. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
