I HAVE BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and this ongoing study of 2nd John. What a book so rich with Truth from Heaven through this Apostle of love. Without further ado let’s plunge into our golden text.
2 John 1:7-9 (KJV)
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
As we examine verse nine, we find that one who does not believe that Jesus is indeed the Anointed One, the Messiah, the Savior of all mankind does NOT have God at all. Those who believe, that is you and me dear ones, that Jesus is the Anointed One, the Messiah, the One who takes away the sins of the world, have both God the Father and God the Son. This is what Jesus, the Messiah did for us on the Cross and in Hell.
Colossians 2:14-15 (KJV)
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Concerning this Truth that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, let’s look at a well-known exchange between Jesus and Peter.
Matthew 16:15-19 (KJV)
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Upon the revelation that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God the true Church is being built. This was a revelation to Peter at that moment from the Throne of Heaven, from the Father, by agency of the Holy Spirit revealed to Peter and spoken by Peter. That revelation is the solid rock upon which the Church is built with Jesus the Cornerstone, the plumbline. Verse eighteen is not talking about the gates of Hell invading the Kingdom but that the gates of Hell are no match for Kingdom of God sons. We are to take back all the devils have stolen and occupy until we leave, or He comes.
Jesus goes on with more really good news. We have the keys of the Kingdom of God; we have access to all that the Kingdom is and has. There is nothing we don’t have full access to and freedom to possess. And He was not done! Whatever we forbid on earth He will back us up and whatever we allow on earth He will allow (even if it is not His will).
TAKE HOME:
- The Kingdom of God is to dominate in the earth now.
- Our voice, our words in faith, determine the fate of the earth, the condition of the seven mountains.
- Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah who set things right.
