THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NIGH UNTO THEE

Greetings dear ones and welcome back to this enlightening study of The Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Let’s get right to our anchor or starting text.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Again, we start our study with the command from the King of kings to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. How do we see the activities of our lives. Is Church, Christian activity separate from or part and parcel with our total life spirit, soul, and body? Do we see all the things we think, speak, and do as part of our Kingdom assignment, being the will of our King, and doing it His way which includes His motives and attitudes. Let’s see what Jesus has to say about the Kingdom of God in Luke chapter ten.
Luke 10:7-12 (KJV)
7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,
11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
The setting here is the sending out of the seventy. Let me point out that seventy is the number of the nations (number of original nations from the three sons of Noah). Also, seventy is a multiple of seven (spiritual perfection) and ten (responsibility). The gospel of the Kingdom presents the availability of spiritual perfection in Christ Jesus in the Kingdom of God. God, Jesus, had the responsibility by Blood Covenant to make it available and it is our responsibility to make it ours.
We discussed it recently but as you read this text you find the will or God concerning the bringing of the gospel of the Kingdom of God to others. This applies locally or domestically as well as in foreign mission fields. When you arrive in a certain place, invited or not, if they receive you, they are to take total care of you. If they do not take total care of you, move on, wiping even the dust of that place from your cloths. One can see from the text that it is unwise to not receive and take care of the Anointed of God.
When received heal the sick and tell them that the Kingdom of God has come nigh unto them. If not received leave telling them the same thing, the Kingdom of God has come nigh unto you. Remember that the Kingdom of God is in the Holy Spirit working in and through us. So, He is saying the Anointing, and all the Anointing can provide is right here. The Kingdom of God was nigh (near) not there for Jesus had not yet raised from the dead.
TAKE HOME:
- When away from home wherever the Lord sends us as Ministers the people are to take care of us totally. A problem today is that people do not value the Word of God nor the ministers of God.
- If you are not received where the Lord sends you, dust off your feet and leave saying the Kingdom of God has come nigh, the Anointing was here.
- It is a dangerous thing to reject the Anointed man or woman of God and not value them and the gospel they bring.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
