ONE HUNDRED-FOLD NOW AND ETERNAL LIFE

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and our ongoing study of the Kingdom of God and repentance. We have found that this was the predominate message that Jesus preached and taught. Jesus thought it was important then and had it recorded then might we treat it as important as well. Of course, the whole Bible one way or another is instruction for Kingdom of God living. Let us now go to our anchor or golden Scripture the Lord led us to use for this series of teachings.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
As we look at this verse, I want to remind us once again that it is a command from the lips of the Savior to them and us, it is a timeless command. You may have heard me say that there are no physical manifestations that do not have a spiritual root or source. This includes the health of your body, your checkbook, even the existence of the universes. Look at our anchor verse closely and you will see the principle that all natural manifestations have a spiritual root.
Now, let us pick up where we left off last Sunday with the teaching, insight, Jesus gave His disciples then and His disciples now (you and me).
Matthew 13:44 (KJV)
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
The take home here is that there is nothing, absolutely nothing in this natural life that even comes close in value to the Kingdom of God. Just as this man realized that and gave his all to obtain the treasure, the Kingdom of Heaven/God, so must we. Total commitment! Have we forgotten the anchor Scripture for this study? Let us again examine and meditate the following passage as it relates to our Matthew 13:44 text.
Matthew 16:24-27 (KJV)
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Are you a follower of Jesus? If so, are you, am I, putting the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first putting aside the leadings of our flesh and unrenewed mind? To take up our cross means to take up and step into our assignments of Heaven wholeheartedly. If we look to our wants and desires first, we will lose out not having the wonderful life died to give us, now and then. Did you notice the “b” portion of verse twenty-five “whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it”? Does that sound anything like the following passage?
Mark 10:29-30 (KJV)
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
TAKE HOME:
- A true focus on our assignments in the Kingdom of God and His righteousness will lead only to abundance, that is if you believe the Bible.
- It is impossible to be spiritually rich and not be rich in every arena of life here and now. If that were possible it would make the whole of Scripture void.
- What is the Kingdom of Heaven worth to you or are you just trying to avoid Hell.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
