FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS

Greetings to all and welcome back to this wonderful study of Divine love (agapē/agapaō) taken from my book “Awake, Arise, and Triumph – Be Love”. Today’s teaching is the final teaching from the book. Just because I have labeled this Divine love it does not exclude the Christian from expressing this love. In Christ Jesus we are partakers of His Divine nature. Meditate and take in all that you can from the following passage. We cannot partake of the good things of God of which we have no knowledge.
2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
We can express this love just as we are capable of expressing the other fruits of the spirit. We are children of God and this love; the fruits are identical to His and originated with Him. We are made in His image, likeness, and we are of the same kind.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Jesus even confirmed the Old Testament passages (Psalm 82:6, Isaiah 41:23) that said that we are gods, small g.
John 10:34-35 (KJV)
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
We are fully capable of expressing Divine characteristics. Thus far I have offered the definition of love, really the only relational commitment that can rightly be called love. Other relationships wrongly referred to as love are levels of fondness, emotional attachment, and are transactional in nature. Sometimes other fruit of the spirit are mistaken for this love, like patience, goodness, and kindness. By way of a reminder, this Divine love (agapē/agapaō) is obedience to Scripture (all of it), being selfless in motivations, and abiding in Blood Covenant.
Now, THE CONCLUSION OF THE WHOLE MATTER
I am sure you understand this short Book is by no means an exhaustive teaching concerning God given love. Remember the three major points.
- Agapē/ agapaō is obedience to the Word of God, all of the time.
- Agapē/ agapaō demands a selfless lifestyle, it’s about God and it’s about you, it is not about me.
- Agapē/ agapaō requires abiding by The Blood Covenant.
I pray this teaching has ministered strength to you as it has ministered to me. To practice this love toward God and mankind will bring the manifestation of God into our lives in ways we have only imagined. Since He can imagine better and bigger than we can, we must actively seek after the mind of Christ in our pursuit of obedience, of loving God and man. Amen.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Lord willing, I will return with more light from the Throne. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
