AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

AH, SINFUL NATION
Greeting precious redeemed children of God and those who are still running from God. Welcome back to this powerful, revealing, and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us His Word to direct our path in the way of righteousness. God created this whole thing, believe it or not, He actually knows what works perfectly and what is fatally flawed. The featured picture today is provided by our good friend Joe Getchell Jr. a man of God. As we move forward, please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible. Every person reading this has the opportunity to tell of the good news.
All persons are conceived and die physically. Many if not all of us act like and think like the status quo is forever. It is not! At birth every person whether they know it or not have an obligation before God to do all of His will which will yield the most amazing life imaginable. Few however pick that path early on and way too many never chose God’s path. Unfortunately, we see this in the Church as well, people chose to be saved and then do their own thing from there on. It should not be! When our physical eyes close in death only one thing matters and that is, did we choose Jesus as our Lord and Savior. If we did choose Him, what did we do with the wonderful opportunity He gave unto us in the earth. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing not by seeing.
Isaiah 1:4-7 (KJV)
4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
Is America a nation laden with iniquity? Certainly, America which has slain over 60 million innocent persons is a nation laden with iniquity just on that one count, and there are many counts. What about me and you as individuals? What about the local body of the Church and the whole body of Christ? Who allowed iniquity to flourish? Each person of course bears a responsibility for their own sins but the greater responsibility lies with the Church. The Church has allowed, has not restrained, the wickedness in our culture, instead allowed it to multiply. This is not somebody else’s fault or problem, we (the Church) are to fault, it is our problem to solve. Of course, this is not being solved in the natural but in the spirit first and then the natural will align. Think about it saints, why does God call for His people to repent and not the world?
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Notice right up front the Lord says; “If my people”. Once we have repented then we must take the appropriate actions in faith, motivated by love, and led of the Holy Spirit to return our culture to righteousness. That does not mean that everyone will be saved, but it does mean that the culture will no longer say that abortion, homosexuality, and other abominations are acceptable choices in America. Life will be honored, and Godly marriages will be honored and be the norm and the goal of the men and women of our nation. Sin will not disappear until the new heaven and the new earth but we can turn the tide and return our nation to God.
How do people become evildoers? They were taught to be evildoers! That is what they saw in the home, in the Church, in the community, and in their heroes. This must change and we are the only ones who are capable of bringing about the needed changes. The devil’s bunch is not going to do it, period. Who has authority in this earth (and in Heaven I might add)? We do dear ones! Why are we sitting around like little helpless children or like the children of Israel said, grasshoppers in the sight of the world and our own sight.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Isn’t our God so, so good? Yes, yes, and yes!
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
