Greeting precious saints of the only Living God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit and welcome back to our encouraging study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Before we proceed, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible increasing our reach to more people with the Truth. Truth is harder to come by than many realize. Most people believe they are hearing only the Truth at their Church. Are they, are you? Are you testing all things or just gulping it down or perhaps even worse just ignoring and being preoccupied with things of the world. The featured picture today is more ducks, provided by or dear brother Joe Getchell Jr. Joe takes many wonderful pictures some of which make it into these publications. I hope you are enjoying them.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text today in the Amplified Bible continuing to read out loud. You are reading out loud, right?
Isaiah 52:13-15 (AMP)
13 Behold, My Servant shall deal wisely and shall prosper; He shall be exalted and extolled and shall stand very high.
14 [For many the Servant of God became an object of horror; many were astonished at Him.] His face and His whole appearance were marred more than any man’s, and His form beyond that of the sons of men—but just as many were astonished at Him,
15 So shall He startle and sprinkle many nations, and kings shall shut their mouths because of Him; for that which has not been told them shall they see, and that which they have not heard shall they consider and understand.
As we proceed into the 14th verse, we quickly recognize this a Jesus upon the Cross. What a horrible image and to think He did it for you, for me. And we are annoyed at any inconvenience for the Kingdom of God? Are our priorities in the wrong places? Do we remain too carnal, babes in Christ? Listen to the Apostle Paul.
Romans 8:5-8 (NLT)
5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.
8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
Let’s examine ourselves and see where our minds go most.
1 Corinthians 3:1-4 (KJV)
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
Does any of this sound familiar? Now, let’s turn back to our primary Bible text reading it again in the New Living Translation.
Isaiah 52:13-15 (NLT)
13 See, my servant will prosper; he will be highly exalted.
14 But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.
15 And he will startle many nations. Kings will stand speechless in his presence. For they will see what they had not been told;
they will understand what they had not heard about.
As we enter verse 15, we find the word “sprinkle” in the KJV, “startle” in the NLT and we see startle and sprinkle in the Amplified. These words mean to cleanse so it would seem that sprinkle is a better translation. We harken back to when the High Priests of old sprinkled the people with the blood of innocent animals. Today we are sprinkled or cleansed by the eternal Blood of the Lamb.
Hebrews 9:12-14 (KJV)
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, God loves you, He is love, He is right, and He cannot lie.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
