Greetings dear and precious of God, the One and only God, and welcome back to this engaging, encouraging, and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give us this powerful lamp for our feet. Why do so many choose to stumble about in the darkness? I’m not talking about the world; I’m talking about the Church. Many walk-in astonishing ignorance given the time since salvation and others believe the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons like they are the Truth. Be on guard all day everyday for the deceptions of the devils. Prove all things, be a good Berean. Taking your Pastors word for it or Dr. High Power is not proving all things nor being a good Berean. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today, as most Thursdays is of Donna and me. This occasion was Becky’s Diner in Portland Maine last fall, a wonderful time with family.
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Scripture in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:17-19 (KJV)
17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
As you know we have spent the last eleven (11 is alignment with God) days of teachings on Isaiah talking about, learning about the 17th verse above and the phrase “Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation”. God’s promise of redemption is literally through out the Bible. I covered only a fraction of what is available to study. The Church has not replaced Israel, Israel will be a people before God forever. The Church however has an obligation, command from our Heavenly Father and theirs, to honor them, contribute to them of our treasure, and pray (earnestly) for them. This not a “yeah, yeah” instruction but one that our Heavenly Father is very serious about.
The 18th verse of our text should be familiar to us for it is commonly used when teaching about the creation. Some like to say that Genesis 1:2 is what the earth looked like before the creation account with which we are familiar.
Genesis 1:2 (KJV)
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Does that look like something our God would make? Come on now! Of course not, as our Scripture tells us, God did not create the heavens nor form the earth to be empty (vain) but to be inhabited. This verse may be referring to Genesis 1:1 or perhaps the end of the sixth day, but certainly not Genesis 1:2.
Genesis 1:31 (KJV)
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
The verse ends with “I am the LORD, and there is none else”. How many times does He tell His people this? I don’t know a number, but I do know it is many times, I suspect in the hundreds yet they do not believe, frequently turn away, what about us? And what did they turn to time and time again, and what have you and I turned to time and time again? As I finish for today, I noticed an interesting thing about this verse. The word “heavens” is masculine and pleural however the word “earth” is feminine and singular. This is not productivity or potential for productivity in the heavens however there is in the earth. Given the right seed (words) the earth produces. It has the potential to produce in the positive or the negative direction dependent upon the words sown and the power behind the words. Selah.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
