FRIDAY NUGGETS
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – PART ELEVEN – LOVE – PART TWO

Greeting dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our Friday Bible Study named Friday Nuggets. I am currently exploring the Fruit of the Spirit, and today is part eleven and part two of the fruit, love. Once again let me ask, have you considered what your vision is for 2023, what will be accomplished this year, in the next five years. Most of us have a day-by-day plan, vision if you will, but not a God given Kingdom of God vision. This plan of course would be multifaceted and written down with the steps necessary to achieve the various goals. Any vision, life plan, given of God will include our part and His part. Our part is always first! As we, each of us ponder our God given vision, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means at your disposal to expand, extend, our reach with this wonderful, nothing like it, news. There is no better news than that contained in the Holy Bible and demonstrated in our lives. What is the testimony of our lives, the fruit produced by our lives in Christ Jesus? I am not answering that question, it is for each of us to ponder, and answer individually. Now continuing to read out loud, let’s read our primary Bible text.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Once again today let’s spend some time dealing with the fruit of love. This is the God kind of love and you will recall God is love (agapē/agapaō). If God is love and we are in His image and likeness, of like kind, than we also are love. Are we manifesting it or is it a secret to those around us? The antonym (opposite) for love is hate. What is the witness of our thoughts, words, and actions? Love originated with God, was given to mankind in the creation, and thus we have the same capacity for expressing, producing the fruit of love as our Heavenly Father. Remember fruit is the useful part of our lives. In the case of love, do we obey the Word keeping ourselves next to the Master giving Him the authority to flow in and through us? Are our motives pure, focused on the Lord and people or ourselves? Do we know and honor the Blood Covenant we entered at Calvary? Do people see us as the real deal (in the image of Christ) or just another play actor (hypocrite)? A Christian in word but not deed? This went on in Jesus’ day and will continue until the last day.
Mark 7:6 (KJV)
6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Now, we will deal with the three major components of this Godly love expressed by God and given to mankind to be expressed in the furtherance of the Kingdom of God and mankind. I will be discussing the three major components in a certain order but know that we must be, express, all three in unison (agreement, harmony, union). First is obedience to Scripture. Remember this, Scripture is our teacher, our example, our guide, the source of our obligations and delineates our benefits. The Scripture is the text of our Blood Covenant which we enter at salvation.
John 14:21 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
I hope you can see in this verse that our having, and keeping Gods’ commandments is love (agapē/agapaō) and is the prerequisite to Him manifesting in our lives. If He does not manifest it is all flesh and dead, it is the Spirit that quickens and is life. Long story short, if we are not obeying the Word we are not walking in love and therefore not producing anything of benefit for ourselves, others, or the Kingdom of God.
John 6:63 (KJV)
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Listen (you are reading out loud, right?) to the Apostle Paul from the “love chapter”.
1 Corinthians 13:3 (KJV)
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
The word “charity” here is love (agapē/agapaō). If it profits us nothing it has no value for others or the Kingdom as well. Everything that God is in, is win win.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
