FRIDAY NUGGETS
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – PEACE – ONE AGAIN

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and those who are not yet saints. Become a saint today if you are not, simply repeat the following verse putting it in the first person and in your own hearing.
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Simply say out loud: I declare Jesus as Lord of my life and I believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead, I receive salvation, I am saved. Welcome to the Light, the Kingdom of God. Send us your testimony. As I move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing.
Now, let’s move to our primary text for the study of the fruits of the spirit. Today I will be continuing our study of the fruit of peace. However much I have to say about peace there will be much left to be said. Please continue to read out loud.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
This week I will pick up with the third aspect of six aspects of the spiritual fruit of peace, a fruit of our spirit. Our peace is a duplicate albeit undeveloped of the Fathers’. From our primary text the Greek word transliterated to English as peace is eirēnē meaning (to join), prosperity, one, quietness, rest, and to be set at one again (with God) according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Last Friday I talked about prosperity as a part of peace. Poverty and just enough is of the curse which occurs by disobedience to the Truth or believing the poverty lie. Our prosperity is a testimony to the world, other Christians, enables us to help our brother and sister, and to move the Kingdom of God forward, enlarging the Kingdom. We are able to occupy more and more of what Jesus conquered at the Cross, in Hell, with His Resurrection and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Places the enemy now occupies illegally are to occupied and administered by Kingdom of God people. The Church tends to spiritualize wealth as being in the hereafter to make those in poverty or even themselves comfortable. Jesus makes a clear distinction between wealth in this life and in the one to come as we saw yesterday in Mark 10:29-30. Again, I ask, where are the poverty verses in the first fourteen verses of Deuteronomy twenty-eight? There are none! Poverty is under the curse, which comes into our life not by the will of God but by our disobedience, rebellion against the will of God.
The third aspect of peace has to do with the idea of being one or whole in ourselves. With salvation we are again one, when Grace (Holy Spirit) quickens our spirit man. Adam was whole, spirit, soul, and body and now in Christ Jesus we are as well. The Apostle Paul makes this clear.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our spirit man is now alive and in very close communion with God the Holy Spirit. We are renewing our minds and disciplining our souls (mind, will, and emotions) according to the Word of God. Our body was bought at Calvary, is Gods’ and awaits redemption, glorification.
Romans 8:23 (KJV)
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
We frequently hear that we are a spirit, we have a soul (mind, will, and emotions) and live in a body. I do not see us this way, I believe we are a unified whole. We are now incomplete as we saw in Romans 8:23 above but soon we will be like Jesus, spirit, soul, and body. Scripture says we are receiving a body like unto His.
Philippians 3:21 (KJV)
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Lord willing, I will continue with our discussion of peace next Friday picking up with part four, quietness.
