GIFTS – PART FIFTY-EIGHT
GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT – PART EIGHTEEN

Greetings and welcome to all who join this blog, the Friday Bible Study titled “Gifts”. I am currently focused on the nine gifts of the Spirit (Holy Spirit). Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry and the Truth. Please be reminded, put it in your phone, put it on your calendar, to join our Wednesday Night Bible Study at 6 pm eastern time on Zoom. If you need the meeting id and passcode please contact us. Come expecting to hear from the Lord, to receive anything needed of the Lord, and to be a conduit for the Lord to touch others. This is a powerful life changing Bible Study. Now, let’s dive into this study of gifts from God. Currently we are studying the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. A gift can be a talent, skill, or ability and is a present, or something granted. The gifts of the Spirit convey a supernatural ability. Now, let’s turn our attention to the Apostle Paul’s discussion of these gifts by the unction of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:1 (KJV)
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (KJV)
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
I have been moving forward slowly since coming to the gift of “divers kinds of tongues”. I believe the Holy Spirit impressed me that it was important to differentiate between this as one of the nine gifts and our prayer language received with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul spends a lot of time, a lot of space with the leadership of the Holy Spirit discussing tongues. This gift along with the gift of “the interpretation of tongues” are the most common gifts in manifestation by far in the modern Church. This is a sign of the immaturity of the Church. Just as it reflected immaturity in the Church at Corinth.
The devils, the world, have done a really good job of convincing the Church that there are spiritual limits just as there are natural limits in the world. That is an outright lie of “Biblical” proportions. There are no limitations on us in the Kingdom of God. To say there are limits on us in the Kingdom of God would be like saying there are limits to God. Are there limits to God? Of course not! All things are possible with God. All of the awakenings, revivals of the past have progressed to a certain point, stalled, and sputtered out. We must not do that in this generation. God is raising up a remnant to do all His will and bring the return of Christ, we are the Elijah generation.
The gift of tongues as one of the nine gifts of the Spirit is not discernible from the tongues of our prayer language. The difference is that we initiate speaking in tongues when we pray and the Holy Spirit gives us the utterance, the words. In the case of the gift of tongues the Holy Spirit is the initiator and the supplier of the words and we respond with our voice in obedience. Now, let’s turn our attention to the gift of “the interpretation of tongues”.
1 Corinthians 14:26-28 (KJV)
26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
A service should not be dominated by tongues and interpretation and so the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul gives guidelines. If there is no interpreter one should remain silent. Of course, the person with the gift of tongues may also have the gift of the interpretation of tongues. One last thought as we end for today. Did you notice the Word says “the interpretation of tongues”, it did not say the translation of tongues? It is uncommon to be able to translate word for word from one language to another. The interpretation of tongues is the accurate conveying of an idea or ideas by the direction of the Holy Spirit from one language to another.
Lord willing, we will move forward next Friday, I think with the Armor of God. Let me ask a question. The armor of God is Gods’ armor, how can it fit us?
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
