GIFTS – PART ONE HUNDRED-FOURTEEN
ARMOR OF GOD – PART FIFTY-SIX

Greetings dear and precious friends of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. As we dive into this new year and all the wonderful things God has for us in this year, I once again invite those of you who are not partners (financial) with this Ministry to become partners. Now, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth. The Word of God is the very best news anyone, anywhere, at any time has or can hear. On this side of the decision to follow close after Jesus the Christ it is baffling as to why anyone would reject Him and all that comes with accepting and following Him. Believe me the devils have no good things or end planned for anyone, you included. One may think they are their own man (or woman) but that is a lie of Satan. If we are not God’s man/woman we are the devil’s man/woman. Either Heaven is our eternal home, citizenship, or Hell will be our eternal home. We and we alone make the choice. There is not a third choice. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud. No silent reading unless you have no interest in pleasing God.
Ephesians 6:12-15 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Today we are going to start back on verse fourteen and a part of the armor called Truth. I want to remind you to not get caught up in the imagery of the Roman soldier but in the knowledge of the Truth. There is only one source of Truth and that is Holy Scripture, all 66 Books of the Holy Bible. One might argue that the small voice withing (Holy Spirit), the inner witness, and Prophetic and other utterances are also the Truth since they are of Divine origin. That, of course, is right but is for another study on another day. This word ‘Truth’ we find in this Scripture means it is true and concealing nothing. In other words, we don’t have half a truth and a catch we find out about later. The Word of God taken as a whole is THE TRUTH and conceals nothing and has no hint of deception. People who say there are conflicts in Scripture are simply people in the dark trying to explain the light.
Some years ago, the Lord pointed out to me that there are four major components of Truth. The Word is the Truth, the Holy Spirit is the Truth (Spirit of Truth), Jesus is the Truth, and Love is the Truth. The purpose of the Truth is to make us more and more like Jesus until we are exactly like Jesus. Yes, yes, yes, we can be exactly like Jesus. The fruit of the Truth does not just automatically manifest just because we have heard the Truth. All have heard some part of the Truth but very few have the evidence that they are becoming like or just like Jesus. Why don’t we see people in our circles that are just like Jesus? Simple, deceptions of the enemy, no teaching, and false humility. Most of us don’t have anyone we can point to as a role model. We need to be able to say like Jesus did to Philip, if you’ve seen me, you have seen Jesus and you have seen the Father.
John 14:8-12 (KJV)
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Let us study this very carefully. Why do we need to be like Jesus? He has gone to the Father, and left us to carry on as He did in the earth (verse 12). Scripture says that as He is (right now) is how we are (right now).
1 John 4:17 (KJV)
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
Do we believe it? What about the next verse?
Mark 16:16-18 (KJV)
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Are these signs following you, following me? Why not? Can we respond to people as Jesus responded to John the Baptists disciples?
Luke 7:22 (KJV)
22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday. Remember we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
