GIFTS – PART ONE HUNDRED-TWENTY
ARMOR OF GOD – PART SIXTY-TWO
BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS – PART THREE

Greetings precious brothers and sister in Christ Jesus and welcome back to the Friday teachings on Gifts from God. Currently we are dealing with the “Armor of God”. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible expanding our reach with the Word of God beyond our reach by ourselves. Thank you for sharing and I believe the Lord is pleased with your sharing. As you will recall I have been building a firm foundation by the leadership of the Holy Spirit beneath our study for the seven elements of the ‘Whole Armor of God’. The bottom line is that we are to practice a life of holiness, of sanctification, setting ourselves apart for the Kingdom of God. There is no rule (spiritual law) that says we have to sin! Now, let’s turn our attention to our Bible text from the Book of Ephesians.
Ephesians 6:12-15 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
We are not practicing putting on and off Roman armaments for real or in our imaginations, we are building revelation knowledge upon which we build faith to neutralize the enemy and build the Kingdom of God. A huge part of our assignments as sons of God is to bring the Kingdom of God and the will of God into the earth. It starts with each of us as individuals.
Matthew 6:10 (KJV)
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Remember, it is through anointed active knowledge that these things come into our lives and we can sow to others.
2 Peter 1:1-4 (KJV)
1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, (Bold added)
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: (Bold added)
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
This passage makes it very clear (along with Hosea 4:6) what brings the Grace of God, the peace of God, the Power of God, with the provision of ALL things pertaining to this natural and our spiritual lives. Thru this knowledge, the exercise thereof, we step fully into our divine nature. Why? We have “escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust”. This closes the loop right back to a life wholly set apart to God, His thoughts, His Words, the absence of doubt, and being led of the Holy Spirit.
Now, what about the breastplate of righteousness. On the Roman soldier the breast plate covered the chest and the vital organs of the chest including the heart. The word translated to English as breastplate from the Greek is thorax according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. This word, thorax, is also a familiar English word describing the rib cage and the contents thereof. Righteousness is the state of being innocent and holy. Let’s look at this word, righteousness, in context in a few other places.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
This, I hope, familiar, and practiced verse tells us clearly that number one in our lives is the pursuit of Kingdom business and “his righteousness”. Seeking after and achieving His innocence (sinlessness) and holiness (set apart for His use) is job one. As we do that getting our dominate focus off the carnal, He will take care of our natural things. Didn’t we just see something about that in second Peter?
Lord willing, I will pick up with this right here next Friday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
