LIFE IN HEAVEN – PART FORTY-FIVE

TIME FRAME SIX
THE CATCHING AWAY TO THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
Greetings, children, sons and daughters of the Most High God and welcome back to this wonderful study and contemplation of Heaven. I hope that your excitement and imaginations of Heaven are soaring to new highs and that the wonder of it all dazzles your senses to the maximum and beyond (into the supernatural). Let us dare to imagine, dare to allow God to open our minds (spiritual organ) and reveal the wonders of the things God has prepared for us. Consider the following Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (KJV)
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
For some reason people like to quote verse nine from above, I suppose thinking it as a sign of humility but it really is ignorance due to a lack of diligence and a lack of seeking the face of God. Verse ten above tells us that God has revealed the things He has prepared by His Spirit to those that love Him. The key word here is “love” Him. Perhaps one should explore their love for God if they do not have increasing revelation of the things God has prepared not only now but for eternity. The Apostle Paul gives a thundering answer to verse nine in verse sixteen which is that “we have the mind of Christ”. Is there anything that Christ is ignorant of or does not understand? What is our excuse?
At salvation Heaven is our home, and it is the place of our primary citizenship! We are sent from Heaven on assignment now, and most if not all of us will have assignments in the earth throughout eternity, and in many other places as well. Within the scope of the goodness of our God and the scope of what is possible with God (nothing is impossible with God, and Jesus said nothing is impossible to us) lets loose our imaginations to soar! I will continue to deal with the sixth time-frame today. By way of review let’s look at the eight time-frames which are being covered.
- Eternity before Genesis 1:1
- Genesis 1:1 to 1:2 (may have been billions of years)
- Genesis 1:3 to Genesis 3:6 the Day of Sin and Death
- Genesis 3:6 to Jesus putting His Blood on the Mercy Seat
- Resurrection to the Rapture
- Rapture or Catching Away to the Second Coming
- One Thousand Year Reign
- Eternity Future
As you know in prior weeks, I have been discussing the calamitous events of this time period including the great battle of Armageddon at the Second Coming of Christ. At this time Christ Jesus, the Lion of Judah, returns with the armies of Heaven (angels) and all of the saints of God. Of interest, the word Armageddon means apocalypse, disaster, destruction, and day of reckoning. It is for sure judgment day, a day of reckoning, for the nations and for the unrepentant Hebrew peoples.
Zechariah 14:1-4 (KJV)
1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
As you may know the Bible is not always linear or chronological so we see what I believe is the same event described in the fourteenth chapter as in the thirteenth. In the following passage it certainly seems that only one third of the Jews survive the Great Tribulation and the battle of Armageddon.
Zechariah 13:8-9 (KJV)
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Sunday. Until our next publication, confess the following passage and walk before Whom we have to do with great rejoicing and thanksgiving. This physical body is our humiliation but soon it will be no more for the glory of God and our eternal benefit.
John 14:1-4 (KJV)
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
