LIFE IN HEAVEN – PART TWELVE

TIME FRAME FOUR
Genesis 3:6 to Hebrews 1:3
Thank you for rejoining this marvelous study of “Life in Heaven”. As I have pointed out before many of the things I write may not be supported explicitly by a particular Scripture. However, I am writing this led of the Spirit of God and all that is written is consistent with the Word of God, the thoughts, the ways, and the character of God. By way of review I want to remind us all that the Lord has led me to divide these teachings up into eight time periods as follows:
- Eternity before Genesis 1:1
- Genesis 1:1 to Genesis 1:2
- Genesis 1:3 to Genesis 3:6
- Genesis 3:6 through the Resurrection
- The Resurrection to the Rapture (Catching Away)
- The Catching Away until the Second Coming
- The Millennial Reign of Christ
- Eternity after Revelation 22:21
Eight is God’s number of new beginnings. Mankind’s redemption by the Blood of the Lamb is certainly a new beginning. Some might argue that the new beginning for us, the Church, the redeemed starts at the moment of the Catching Away, and the Resurrection, commonly referred to as the Rapture. I would not fall on my sword over that point however we might want to consider that the final solution for sin is not fully accomplished until the New Heavens and the New Earth.
I am currently dealing with the fourth time frame which is from the sin of Adam until Jesus is again seated as God on the Throne of Heaven at the right hand of the Father. Last Saturday I spent some time discussing how Lucifer and one third of the Heavenly hosts were thrown out of Heaven when sin was found in Lucifer. One third of the angels sided with Lucifer against God and were cast down with him. These fallen angels were being held in chains until judgment however Lucifer now called Satan among many other names was left to roam the earth. There is no way to prove or demonstrate one’s love or fidelity without an alternative choice. I then talked about the reality of hell and that people who did not honor God went to hell starting in this fourth time period. In addition, all the evil hoards previously held in chains in hell were loosed on the earth by the sin of Adam. Adam choose another god that day and the effects of that are abundant around us today. Jesus Himself testified of the reality of Hell and I have heard that He talked about Hell twice as much as He talked about Heaven. The curse is awful and Hell is much worse. I am sure you will recall the account of “a certain rich man” and “a certain beggar named Lazarus” detailed by Jesus in Luke 16:19-26. I would suggest that you look back at my July 7th teaching or open your Bible and review this account before going on.
I believe it would be a grave error to look at this account (Luke 16:19-26) as a prohibition on being rich and an ad for being poor. After all, Abraham one of the most revered patriarchs of all was probably as rich as anyone in his time. In fact, God promised to make Abraham rich, He is no respecter of persons, therefore we may conclude that He wants us all rich. Scripture tells us that money and wisdom are a God given defense in this present world.
Ecclesiastes 7:12 (KJV)
12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
Ecclesiastes 10:19 (KJV)
19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.
Many things are not being done in the Kingdom of God which should already be accomplished for a lack of money which has come about by the demonic teaching of piety and poverty. The critical difference between these two men in Luke 16 was that the beggar believed Moses and the Prophets with regard to God and the rich man did not. I will point out that the life the beggar lived was not the will of God for him, the beggar failed to step into the promises of God. We see this all around us today but God is so merciful, He is merciful to us and to this beggar. Notice in verse twenty-two that Lazarus (the beggar) is taken by holy angels into “Abraham’s bosom”. This is an area in the earth adjacent to hell.
I will end right here for this week and pick up with this same time period and this account from Luke chapter sixteen Lord willing next Saturday. Remember, sixteen is the number of love, this is told to us because God loves us all.
