NOW THUS SAITH THE LORD

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this wonderful Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful Book, but of course they all are! God is so good to us, to illuminate our path. This is His good path! We are a rebellious people like our first father the devil. We are born with a fallen and rebellious spirit and a flesh concerned about self. Any of you who had had children know that rebellion is innate in the child. They are way better at learning the word “no” than “yes”. What about you and me? Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today is of a family. This is provided to remind us to pray for families in America and around the world. Let’s review a Scripture I presented yesterday since these thing is the core of an eternally successful family. God wants us abundantly successful first spiritually and then physically. Isn’t so much better to have a family that excels in the things of the Kingdom of God and in occupying what Jesus got back and then spend eternity in Heaven. God needs way more millionaires and billionaires, even trillionaires. No, I’m not cussing. Again, consider the following as you continue to read out loud.
Ephesians 6:1-4 (KJV)
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
This is the core of a successful life for all of us in the earth. Way too many fathers are absent and mothers too, it is violence (vehemence, aggression, hostility, cruelty, even sadism) against the spouse left with the children and violence against the children. It is a breach of Covenant for the Christian. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text as we enter a new chapter as we continue to read out loud.
Isaiah 43:1-4 (KJV)
1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
The Lord is still talking to His people then and us now. We, the Church, have not replaced Israel, that is a false doctrine, a lie of Satan. This passage I am sure is familiar to many and is a very comforting for the redeemed. Remember, none of this is true for the disobedient, only the obedient. It is amazing to me how so many are walking knee deep in the curse and oblivious to the fact that they are in sin, have unrepented sin. I’m not talking about the world; I’m talking about the Church. Look around at the poverty and disease. These are not our crosses to bear, these are the devils stealing, killing, and destroying in our lives. God picked us all to be winners in a spectacular way. He has not picked winners and losers. We chose whether to be a winner or to be a loser. The demons do not put things into our path with a flashing light declaring it is contrary to Gods’ Word and will bring the curse into our lives. It will look desirable, reasonable, even religious. Before I end for today let’s look at the first verse of our text in the Amplified Bible.
Isaiah 43:1 (AMP)
1 BUT NOW [in spite of past judgments for Israel’s sins], thus says the Lord, He Who created you, O Jacob, and He Who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you [ransomed you by paying a price instead of leaving you captives]; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
This was true for them then; it is true for us now. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
