Greetings dear saints of God, followers and partners with this Ministry. Today I am continuing our study of The Kingdom of God. This was the major thrust of Jesus’ earthly Ministry and therefore of ours. Really, the whole Bible if you are looking for it is instructing us in Kingdom of God living. Can you imagine there is a better life now or later than the life the Kingdom of God makes available? Yes, I am a prosperity teacher, prosperity in every arena of life, for that is what the Bible teaches. That is not to say that we are not presented with opportunities to fail, and in so doing suffer, but that is our choice, not God’s. Now that I have everyone riled up let’s turn to our anchor/golden text.
Matthew 6:33 (AMP)
33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
So, what is to be first in our lives? His Kingdom and His righteousness. We are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. The Kingdom is the Kings domain in this case Jesus, and kingdoms are regulated by laws. We are citizens of this Kingdom and do well with obeying the laws of the Kingdom and don’t do well when we operate contrary to those laws. If you’re saved but just bumping along waiting to go to Heaven, you might want to inquire with the Lord about your assignments and learn to use the laws of the Kingdom. Knowing and doing the ways of God are the only way to please Him and get supernatural results. I will now present our next Scripture concerning the Kingdom of God for our study.
Luke 7:28 (KJV)
28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
The (a) portion of this verse is quite a statement concerning John the Baptist. I am guessing that any of us would be very pleased to hear this about ourselves. However, the (b) portion of the verse gives context. Of course, this statement concerning John the Baptist was true of the Old Testament prophets. From the fall of Adam to the Resurrection of Jesus all persons had a dead spirit, even those who worshipped God, they were not saved. God made provision for them, they went to the Bosom of Abraham awaiting the coming of the Messiah. They didn’t have the indwelling Holy Spirit or the Anointing of the Holy Spirit.
There were people ordained to be Anointed with the Holy Spirit, those being the Prophet, the Priest, and the King. Even so, they were not born again. These people did not have the reality of eternal life, the promise of resurrection, and a glorified body. Because the spirit man was dead to God, they could not express the nine fruits of the spirit supernaturally. They had no access to the nine gifts of the Spirit. They could resist evil spirits but not dominate them as in casting them out of a person. Now we can see how Jesus could make that statement concerning John the Baptist.
One last note. There are rankings today and in that which is to come for persons in the Kingdom of God. The statement that Jesus made referencing one who is least meaning there are those who are greater. God is not a communist or socialist. Many places illustrate this point. Just think about the discussion of the pounds and talents. Just as there are different level in this natural world so it is in the spiritual realm.
TAKE HOME:
- We are citizens of this Kingdom and do well with obeying the laws of the Kingdom and don’t do well when we operate contrary to those laws. If you’re saved but just bumping along waiting to go to Heaven, you might want to inquire with the Lord about your assignments and learn to use the laws of the Kingdom.

Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
