THE DUNG GOD – LORD OF THE FLIES

Greetings dear ones and welcome back to this enlightening study of The Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Let’s get right to our anchor or starting text.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
These are our primary marching orders from the King of kings for us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. How do we see the activities of our lives. Is Church, Christian activity separate from or part and parcel with our total life spirit, soul, and body? Do we see all the things we think, speak, and do as part of our Kingdom assignment, being the will of our King, and doing it His way which includes His motives and attitudes. Let’s move forward to the next teaching on the Kingdom from the Master.
Luke 11:15-20 (KJV)
15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.
20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
Once again it is the religious folks that are persecuting Jesus not the world. The ruling religious class did not like it when their power over the people and money from the people was threatened. In addition, they way Jesus (and His disciples) doing wonderful things among the people they were not and could not do. These of the religious ruling class were steeped in the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons and were absolutely Spiritually powerless. Since we see so little power today perhaps organized denominational religion should consider their ways.
The Pharisees are accusing Jesus of casting out devils by the power of Beelzebub who is Satan. By the way, the name “Beelzebub” literally means “dung god” or “lord of the flies”. Be aware that there are only two kingdoms, the Kingdom of Light – The Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness – The Kingdom of Satan. Jesus pointed out to those that day and something I hope we all know, which is when division comes a fall follows. This is true whether it is a kingdom, a family, a business, or a Church. Let’s look at the 19th and 20th verses in the Passion Translation.
Luke 11:19-20 (PassionNTPsa)
19 If Satan gives me the power to cast out his demons, who is it that gives your exorcists their power? Let them become your judges! Go and ask them and they will tell you.
20 Yet if I am casting out demons by God’s mighty power, God’s kingdom realm is now released upon you— but you still reject it!
We have no Bible Record that I am aware of that any of the religious leaders or otherwise of that day were casting out demons. In the twentieth verse the phrase “released upon you” might be better understood as come to you. The Kingdom of God was come nigh (near) in Christ Jesus and soon with the Resurrection be available to all, but they were blinded by tradition, doctrines of demons and likely pride and the lust for power and money.
TAKE HOME:
- Is the Church powerless due to failure to follow this overarching command to seek first the Kingdom of God and His ways of doing?
- Satan is the dung god, lord of the flies.
- Those in the Kingdom of God baptized in the Holy Spirit have the Power and the authority to not only tread on evil spirits but cast them out of people and places.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
