THY KINGDOM COME – THY WILL BE DONE

Greetings dear ones and welcome back to this enlightening study of The Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Let’s get right to our anchor or starting text.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Again, we start our study with the command from the King of kings to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Again, I will say, how do we see the activities of our lives. Is Church, Christian activity separate from or part and parcel with our total life spirit, soul, and body? Do we see all the things we think, speak, and do as part of our Kingdom assignment, being the will of our King, and doing it His way which includes His motives and attitudes. Let’s see what Jesus has to say about the Kingdom of God in Luke chapter eleven in what is commonly referred to as the Lord’s Prayer.
Luke 11:1-4 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
We see here that the disciples presumably the twelve witnessed Jesus praying, were aware of John the Baptist, and wanted instruction in proper prayer. I am sure that you know there are ways to approach people and God and ways not too. Jesus then gives these disciples and us a very simple outline of how to speak to God, their Heavenly Father. When you want to speak to the Father, acknowledge Him as your Father, acknowledge that He is in Heaven, and that He is holy meaning this is a name a person of God separated and to be honored above all else. Then talk to Him about bringing the Kingdom of God and His will into the earth. Well, this brings us back to our anchor Scripture.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The Kingdom of God is within us (Luke 17:21) according to Jesus and is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17) according to the Spirit speaking through the Apostle Paul. All of the Kingdom of God is in the Holy Spirit who is within us if we are born again. As we renew our minds to the Kingdom of God ways (the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God – Romans 12:2) we manifest more and more Kingdom in our thoughts, words, and ways. Our lives are to reflect Heaven not the curse. There is no lack in Heaven and there is no disease, no lack of peace. Why are not hearing more about what our lives are to reflect which is the goodness of God, Heaven itself?
TAKE HOME:
- We must see all the things we think, speak, and do as part of our Kingdom assignment, being the will of our King, and doing it His way which includes His motives and attitudes.
- We must believe that Heaven, the will of God can manifest in the earth, in us, and through us.
- Our lives must come to reflect more and more of Heaven, the will of God, and not the curse, the will of Satan.
