Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and welcome back to our study of this phenomenal Bible Book of Isaiah. Of course, all of Scripture is phenomenal for its Words are Anointed and have Life. When planted in good soil these Words will bring forth 30, 60, and 100-fold in our lives. A new day is dawning, welcome to 2025! What will you, what will I do with this fresh start, fresh opportunity? The choice is yours, it is mine, will it be same o, same o, or will we break new ground, occupy new ground for the Kingdom of God? Now, let’s delve (investigate, research, probe, dig) into our primary Bible text from this Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 62:1-5 (NKJV)
1 For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns.
2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the LORD will name.
3 You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God.
4 You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the LORD delights in you, And your land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin, So shall your sons marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So shall your God rejoice over you.
Today I will pick up once again with the 3rd and 4th verses of our primary Bible text. Be aware that a crown and a diadem are talking about the same thing. You will recall that we are privileged to listen to the Father telling the One who will soon also be known as the Son what lies ahead. He is going to pay the price of redemption for all of mankind but then He will have a beautiful bride (the Church) and bring her (all that are born again) to the Father. Let’s once again look at these verses in the Message Bible for some increased clarity.
Isaiah 62:3-4 (MSG)
3 You’ll be a stunning crown in the palm of GOD’s hand, a jeweled gold cup held high in the hand of your God.
4 No more will anyone call you Rejected, and your country will no more be called Ruined. You’ll be called Hephzibah (My Delight), and your land Beulah (Married), Because GOD delights in you and your land will be like a wedding celebration.
The Second Person of the co-equal Trinity a stunning crown in the Hand (Holy Spirit) of the Father for all to see and for all to worship. This all reminds me of the Words spoken by the Father on Resurrection Day when the Son was fully restored as God to the right hand of the Father.
Hebrews 1:1-4 (NKJV)
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Hebrews 1:8 (NKJV)
8 But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
