DO YOU TREMBLE AT THE WORD OF GOD OR ARE YOU ALL PUFFED UP IN THE TRADITIONS OF MEN AND DOCTRINES OF DEMONS?

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this illuminating and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Today we will be starting the last chapter of this marvelous Book. We are such a loved and blessed peoples. It is in many ways beyond the scope of our current languages in the earth to describe His love, His blessing, His goodness (glory) towards all, especially those of the household of faith. Dear ones when we were born again, we changed kingdoms and we are no longer to live by the dictates of the world. We have different laws, obligations and benefits the world does not and cannot enjoy. The featured picture today is of the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia Washington. This of course is to remind us to pray for our government, all that are in authority. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 66:1-4 (NKJV)
1 Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest?
2 For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the LORD. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.
3 “He who kills a bull is as if he slays a man; He who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog’s neck; He who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine’s blood; He who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol. Just as they have chosen their own ways, And their soul delights in their abominations,
4 So will I choose their delusions, And bring their fears on them; Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear; But they did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight.”
As we can see in this initial verses of Isaiah 66 the Lord is again talking about the sins of the people, the people that He loves and so wants to be His children and empower Him to bless them beyond their wildest dreams. The verbiage we find here is much like we find in the Book of Job and other places. He is pointing out to them there is none like unto Him. There are none with His power and majesty. Yet they chose their own way and they enjoy their abominations. We have all been there! Well, maybe not you. Perhaps you are reading this today and the Holy Spirit pricks your spirit that this is you today. Don’t think this is just the wretched sinners in the world, no, this is filling many Churches.
What about that word “delusions” in verse four? Is that only found in the psychiatrist’s office? Could it be found in the Church accounting for the lack of Power in manifestation? This word has to do with misunderstandings, misbeliefs, misconceptions, and mistakes. Could this include the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons? The antonym of delusions is reality, the truth. The Church is rife with traditions of men and the doctrines of demons leaving the Church a religious brand of the world and devoid of Power. 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mark 7:13 (KJV)
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Colossians 2:8 (KJV)
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
