HE HAS BORN OUR GRIEFS AND SORROWS
Greetings dear and precious saints of God, saved by the Blood of Jesus and set apart for His use. The Lord is really good. Being set apart for His us is a really, really good thing. We are either set apart for His us, our own use which is a dead end, or the use of the demons and that has terrible consequences. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible expanding our reach with the Truth. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today is of Donna and me at Cornerstone Church here in San Antonio for a Night to Honor Israel.
Now, let’s turn our attention fully to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud. You know why.
Isaiah 53:4-6 (KJV)
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
I think that if we will put verse three and four together, we can see that much of this happened at Calvary, those hours from about 6 am when He allowed them to take Him, until He died at 3 pm. Let’s look at this in the NLT.
Isaiah 53:3-4 (NLT)
3 He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!
The Truth was that He was made sin on our behalf.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1 John 3:5 (KJV)
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
I want to briefly address this area of griefs and sorrows. He carried, took, our griefs and sorrows. It is an affront (insult, disrespect) to our Lord to allow ourselves to enter into protracted grief and/or sorrow. I saw many in my medical practice who years after the death of a loved one remained in grief and sorrow. The problem is that they have failed to recognize we are not designed for this and like our sin He took our grief and sorrow. He has already paid and we keep trying to pay again. We cannot and it is sin. Our life is ahead of us and not behind. We are eternal creations. If our loved one has gone on to Heaven it is but a moment and we will see them again. In the meantime, we are not relieved of our duties in the Kingdom of God. Remember what God told Joshua after the death of Moses.
Joshua 1:2 (KJV)
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
