Greetings dear and precious saints of God, my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Welcome back to this enlightening and stimulating study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. God is so good. The featured picture today is from inside the empty tomb. Our Savior, our Lord, lives and reigns as the Head of His body, the Church. Jesus, the risen Savior is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven and we are seated there with Him and in Him.
Hebrews 1:3 (KJV)
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Ephesians 2:5-6 (KJV)
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Dear ones this is not figurative or for some day in the future, it is a present reality.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 53:8-10 (KJV)
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Yesterday I left off describing with Scripture the sequence of death of both the first Adam and the last Adam, Jesus. With sin Adam died spiritually immediately which was according to the Law of Sin and Death.
Genesis 2:17 (KJV)
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
You and I dear ones are freed of the Law of Sin and Death.
Romans 8:2 (KJV)
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Due to the faith of Abraham which brought Jesus into the earth we not only have the earthly blessings of Abraham but we like the first and last Adam have the Holy Spirit inside and out.
Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
In verse ten of our primary Bible text in Isaiah see find the word “soul”. This word seems to be pointing to the spirit as opposed to the soul, the place of our mind, will, and emotions. We get come help from the following verse.
John 12:24 (KJV)
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Jesus, the man, had to be sown that we could have eternal life spirit, soul, and body. O what a God!
